Who is Arcadia? The only two redheads throughout this game seem to be Val's friend (an elf thief who escaped from us) and the prothesis lady during the trip to the west (poison revolution leader Henry to avoid bloodshed), the daughter of the blacksmith. Both of these two seem to be too young to have a son; I don't think they have a husband. Did you mix up with that silver-haired Valeria
No? Arcadia is the Council lady you meet when you go with Cass to decide the votes. That happens way before you meet the daughter. The blacksmith daughter in the West is Catalina. And I'm obviously not referring to Val's sister.
So you are telling me you'd rather have a scene with some random ginger instead of one with a sexy elven slave with a voluptous body?
We could still get more of Arcadia in CH2. I honestly don’t see a reason to not include Arcadia into the harem when she should be waay more present in day-to-day of MC’s life; whereas Vall’s character is tied to Alaina’s.
That's why I'm not really all that bummed or concerned by Arcadia losing to Val in that poll. Not only do I want more Val content myself. Arcadia is pretty much Elis only Council member. Depending on how you did the coup. And overall will be present for most things in the kingdom. So there's ample amounts of opportunities for Arcadia to get a scene at any point going forward. If the dev chooses to do one, of course.
It’s also important to note that LM’s polls are essentially popularity contests; he’s asking what girl gets an EXTRA scene - it doesn’t mean others will get deleted from the story or never appear again. In fact, LM was enthusiastic about adding Arcadia’s first scene when the poll first started and she was in the lead.
The fact that Arcadia was even in the poll sort of leads me to believe that she has some moments lined up in the near future. Elis won't be going back to the west for a long time. And unless he has a planned trip to meet his in-laws in the South or North. There's plenty of opportunities to court Arcadia. Especially when she's pretty much a neutral party.
My only worry would be making Arcadia just Valeria 2.0 (the Western lady) with red hair; what would her motivation be for becoming the emperor’s concubine? At least Valeria was a cougar, Arcadia seems devoted to her family - why would she betray her husband for MC?
To be fair, Arcadia was the original Valeria. In terms of how she could've been setup. Only difference is her son is younger and her husband hasn't been around for more than a year. Who knows, her husband might even be dead. As for the concubine stuff. That will definitely be an issue since she is the noble lady with the status, if I'm not mistaken.
Wdym an issue? She’s in the same position as Valeria, and Valeria just said fuck it and already devised a plan to make sure she could raise MC’s bastard by herself if need be. Arcadia could do the same - a lot of noble ladies preferred to bear royal bastards in hopes of being promoted Queen one day.
The issue is Arcadia doesn't really want more power or wants to be the Queen. She already has a high standing. And like you said yourself in your other post, she's devoted to her family, the kingdom and her studies, I suppose. She also wants stability and fairness, from what I recall. She has no reason, yet, to entertain Elis lust. Especially since it's unknown if her husband died in the east or not. Just that he's been gone for over a year now. She doesn't come off as the type to do such things just because a King or Emperor offered it.
I am glad we are getting more Val, apparently she is ours but has been missing for most of the time.
