After getting absolutely railroaded for the 80th time in the Blackmail Route after Cass the Cancerous Cunt's Coup, I just couldn't take getting choice-cucked by this bitch anymore, reloaded and chose the Fuck You Bitch option instead...and good LORD...that option is just objectively better in almost every single conceivable way. In the Blackmail Route, everything feels rushed, there's a ton of unresolved gaps in the plot, characters just appear out of nowhere with not much explanation (like Elin and your Wife) and the writing in generally feels incredibly...off. And of course that's not to mention all of the weird shit that happens in the West where the game builds up this perceived degree of choice, only to tell you to fuck off and do what your told from Cass. You also miss out on one the first major sexual scene with The Queen. UNFORGIVABLE
What's even more annoying is that the only reason I even made that sub-optimal choice is the game was pretty explicit with the threat that Cass was going to kill Lia if you don't comply...which she doesn't even bother to do if you tell her to fuck off lol. So you just went on this path for basically nothing. Genuinely the only downside seems to be the death of Aker and Ludwig...kinda on that last part, which is very sad since I liked them both...but not worth the absolute BULLSHIT that you are subjected to on the Blackmail Route.
This route just plain sucks to play. Its almost as if the dev knew from the start this route sucks and it was not the "right" choice from the beginning, hence why everything is so painfully underwhelming and underdeveloped. Oh well, glad I course corrected sooner rather than later. Also FUCK YOU CASS.
