You didn't say what version you use. I play using Imperial-0.4-pc-Compressed.7z without problems. I hope you find a solution.

open those two "older" files (game/a2/10royal_dinner.rpy and game/a3/9two_princess.rpy) and delete two lines:
label version01end:
call screen version01end
save those changes and launch the game.
(ofc before that do backups of modified files)
see if that helps you.

This sounds both terrifying... and awesome.
I don't replay a lot of "dating simulator games" because what they do is just add/subtract scenes based on your current LI path.
But here, in Imperial, you get different scenes for the same dialogue choice depending on your previous choices. Choosing the same dialogue option at the end of the ball has different scenes depending on how deep into the respective LI's relationship you are in. I just never realized how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Actually, the game has so far had a very good balance of lewdity to lore. Besides, the developer himself stated that Imperial Chronicles would have a bigger and better worldbuilding than his previous games. Which also makes sense, given that this is a historical(?) fantasy game.
Can't be mad about something that the dev intended to do with their project, as opposed to the numerous other games on this site that steered so tragically of their tracks and ended up losing half of their supporters to sudden changes in script & tone.
Lazy Monkey games is one of the few developers I actively support on Patreon, and it's because of their preferred fetishes and work ethic. Their games have regular updates and decent content size.
I'd rather have games like these, that get finished within 2 years of starting, than to have games like Dreamland, BaDIK, Intertwined, Summer's Gone that will have you passing on your save files to your grandkids so they can finish them.
IMHO I'll take 'short & sweet' games over projects like Seeds of Chaos any time, any day.

Why? maybe he needs it for some illustrations in game or flashbacks. dont think he's not going to change the rendering style of the whole game.

The reason is obvious. It's not bad news at all. Likely just wants to make a portrait of the family. So he'll pose them in DAZ and then just run the render through the portrait filter. Badabing badaboom family painting.

Almost all the renderers are ready.
A couple of days and I'll start working on the text/translation.
P.S. - I seem to be a little out of step with the two-month update release cycle. I've been dying of the heat for the last few weeks. I was hoping that it would get a little colder, but it only seems to get hotter xd. So I decided to solve this problem radically - I will work on the game in my free time at night.

With this dev, no one can complain about the updates, two or three months between them and a good amount of content. Many other devs, making more money than him, need way more time for the same amount of content. I hope the game gains more popularity.
