Idk mate, I think it's just a different flavours type deal imo. Like, the go with Cass path is kinda a banger, but you definitely come off more as a villain, and then the resist her/rebel path is also a banger and you're more of a typical hero type.

Both pretty great, couldn't personally identify either tho as "best"

(The below comment has reminded me that the red path exists, can't say anything about that one as I could never kill Cass. But it involves killing Cass....so I'm putting that one lower than the other two ngl...:ROFLMAO:)
I love Cass, as much as I love Elin, for different reasons. She's a good person with a demon on her back; I get that. But I wish there was a path to something with her that left out staging the coup, which I'm inclined to believe will lead to suffering and possibly more death down the stretch. We don't know whether she sees the MC as a means to an end, if she'll continue to scheme and possibly plan his murder, or if she'll mentally collapse, Lady Macbeth style. None of this shit is appealing to me, but I can see how some would salivate at the thought of this horror show.

I'm hoping that if the MC chooses to "fix" her, it can lead to something good, but only as long as he's able to understand her history to correct the wrongs of the past. This is where I'm also hoping that there's more scope for plot and character development; you can't "fix" someone if they aren't heard and if someone doesn't make things right. If this involves shutting out the Queen, it'd add more realism to the story, too.

She is reluctant (even if she clearly gets satisfaction from it as well), and hence why only Elis initiates their encounters. Doesn't stop her from "innocently" teasing him, though...
Yeah, it doesn’t stop her from teasing him. That hasn’t been happening much though.

I was making a point based on the dev’s previous game, that had many instances of the mother innocently finding herself (while clearly being aware of it) in positions that would bring out the horndog in the MC. This would bring an important aspect to the character of Seraphina: agency as a woman with her own needs.

Hopefully that same spirit is brought into the lust path here, right now it has a somewhat (maybe I’m being extreme here) rapey vibe which I’m not a big fan of.

Just finished prologue, tried some different paths, do i need to be bookworm for Sona path? or can i get her later with fighter perk?
Also for some reason Sona option in tavern only is visible as bookworm, but her scene has fighter/mage checks.

So far to have her scenes, yes.

There are some checks to see what she is and mage just fails entirely

I agree that the "lust" route is a bit rapey given how much Seraphina protests (which should be toned down just a little), but the difference in IC versus MB is that they have so much more to lose if their relationship is discovered - she is his Queen Mother, and he is the young king. The nobles would absolutely go apeshit if their affair came out. Seraphina wants her son to be the best king he can be, for himself and the people - kinda hard to do that when everyone hates you for having your own mother as a concubine.

A pity there is no pure Kass path. Being adamant on "I promised, so I'm gonna do that" on the noble bookworm path would've been amazing. Smothering Kass with kindness from the arrival would've been so fun. "I don't care, I promised, and Kassandra going to be my wife and the next queen, whether you like it or not, can banish me again, lol".

On a similar note, as an option, inviting Cass to the family breakfast not as a member of dynasty, but as his bride. The shitshow it'd have caused would've been amazing.

The rebel path felt more like the villain path just because Henry pretty much completely lost it and is using peasants as canon fodder. Going with Cass on the last updating you basically don't do anything then swoop in to take charge after both sides wipe each other out.

Finally the evil path, the red path, this can be achieved by agreeing to Cass coup and then killing her and becoming the second red emperor. That says it all.

Red path sounds more ominous, but so far it's basically the Green path but with Isis instead of Cass and the mc has more freedom. I think Isis is more dangerous than Cass, but also seems less willing to act against the mc's wishes.

It's more of ruling the wrong way and creating another series of wars like the original red emperor (LM needs to expand this path a bit more instead). I agree that Isis is more dangerous, but that is overall because one wrong move and you get poisoned and she raises your kid. In the future, the kid herself sounds fucked up (She talks about enemies, poisoning, isis having affairs) - I don't think nothing of this is true but that reflects the character

Black path is fun too tbh.
Haven't done the black path is that the one where you choose aurora and still kill cass?

Yes what?
Yes, she is bookworm exclusive path?
Yes, you can do her path as fighter/mage even if you didn't spend time with her in tavern?
She is a bookworm exclusive path, mainly cause you figured out her secret and you get her scenes. Meanwhile Warrior and Mage fail the checks.

At least whenever I attempt to do warrior and mage's paths (Don't know about her visit in the palace or after coup)

Would say white path is more of on the good side, but you play the hand of a puppet/hero as the elves under aliana seems to put things in motion, you get to "fix cass". Futhermore, you get scenes with your chosen wife either aurora or isis

Green path or the cass path is more of a neutral side, you throw a coup against your father which frightens your mom and elin but you take over the council with cass and get to use her as a boogeyman. You learn more about why cass is doing this and you essentially screw both sides in the western civil war by bringing in the blackspear who kill anything. I feel like there is a constant back and forth over who is in control cass or you.

Finally the evil path, the red path, this can be achieved by agreeing to Cass coup and then killing her and becoming the second red emperor. That says it all.

Personally I like the green path as the best because its more neutral in a way and also you soften cass along the way. Although if LM expands the white path more, maybe it will be the best.
No. The red path is triggered when Cass pulls her coup and imprisons you and your family (not initial agreement) and conspiring with your wife Isis to kill cass. IMO is the best and most logical path. Dead cass = best path for pulling such a stupid stunt, killing ledwig and Aker. Green path : stooge path, were you allow the western provinces to control the kingdom just for a taste of pussy.

The west isn't in control of the kingdom. Cass had pretty much no support from the west outside of Mom's family, who doesn't care about what's going on outside of their own lands. Imo Cass just clearly wants to rebuild the Empire and doesn't have any loyalties to the west. She wants the same thing Isis does and views their father as weak.

I love the maledom in this game, I can't wait for more. Also I have a question, I don't know if it will be answered, but is there a plan for a time skip after this chapter ends? Because based on the situation and what everything's leading up to it feels like there might be a time skip. Could be fun.
