I agree with this take. Not that I want MC to become another OP protagonist for whom the women just fall over, but we need a training montage ASAP!Your English is just fine brother.
Sorry if I came a bit too strong against the MC. I didn't mean to bash the MC, I think he is okay as he is at the start but as the game is progressing he needs to improve too. When I said the MC should be better I don't mean immediately just eventually. It's true a wise king should surround himself with powerful allies but he himself should have at least a modicum of strength or else he will have to dance to the tunes of the others. I don't mean that Elin or the queen would betray him or anything, he can depend on them from time to time but he should not be entirely reliant on them or others around him. Also I don't think if the MC is strong the LI's will be irrelevant. Given the state of the world even if he is strong he needs all the help he can get to succeed. For now it is okay for him to be dependent on others as he is out of his depth but sooner or later he should have a plan/agenda of his own. As of now when I think of the characters it reminds me of that three dragons meme where others are looking fierce with MC being the one with bulgy eyes looking derpy among them.
As for the perks I agree it helps relating to main LI's a bit, but I think it's too much effort for the dev for little payoff. Also he doesn't need to be super talented or anything like some of the LI's but at least he should feel competent which I don't feel like he is especially in my mage run(which I consider my main playthrough). It need not be immediate but at least he should get better down the line. My issue is just he doesn't show any signs of even wanting to improve his skills as of now though it might change given time. As for behaving like a sovereign you are right that he needs some time and face more challenges before growing into that role.
Anyway my overall take is just that if the MC wants to be a strong ruler he has a lot of growing to do be it character or skills/strength/scheming and I'm pretty hopeful that the dev has plans for it in the future.
So far, most of the important choices in the story are "Choose the side of this person" or "Ally yourself with this other person".
Rarely is there an option to have MC think up a plan - instead he just follows the plans that people close to him came up with.
Game of Thrones showed us how dangerous court politics can be, but MC still hasn't fully grasped that his life and future depend on him playing his own game rather than relying on partners to guide him.
As for the Perk system tmihee : it is being wasted on just "Affinity" towards certain LIs, when it should impact the game in more ways - but this seems more of an issue of how LM didn't communicate properly the benefits of throughout the story (something only ascertained by playing the game itself).
