Thing is, the story setup up in IC up until the "forced marriage" point clearly outlined that MC would have to marry some noble girl that isn't related to him for the good of the empire. It's not like LM blindsided us with the wedding.

However, I do understand some folks not appreciating being forced into an LI. One thing I am not certain of, is if one can avoid sex scenes with the wife, and keep MC clean for their preferred LI.

Well, this is quite the table-turn.

A lot of fans "hated" the fact that they have to marry Aurora/Isis, and would've preferred to stay "loyal" to Elin or Cass.

Cass, Isis and the Queen at least don't really care if you're loyal or not. Cass and the Queen both encourage you to have sex with your wife and Isis doesn't care if you sleep around so long as no bastards show up trying to press a claim.

The thing is, up until this update I've been able to avoid any scenes I wanted to even with main girls (hence how I've completely avoided incest content up to now) but now I'm forced to dry hump my sister anyway, what the hell?

Incest is one of the main themes of the game and you're missing out a lot by trying to avoid everyone. Imo this is just one of the games where a kink is far to prominent to just ignore and if you aren't a fan of the kink I recommend not playing the game.

Not engaging with your family at all and being loyal to Aurora/Isis is an interesting route I didn't even consider. It's not really a game for pure love devotion to one girl, you're a royal. Elin is married to another guy, your mom is married to your dad, your other sisters would be married if they weren't criminals or sick all the time. Pure love routes are going to come with a lot of baggage and don't really feel supported, outside of maybe Elin who has the most "romance" so far.

The thing is with Isis sleeping around makes perfect sense she even offers you a servant to fuck in front of/with her, but Aurora is written as a much more typical and 'pure' girl so it really feels like there should be an option to be loyal to her/that there would/will be severe consequences for (getting caught) cheating on her

Normally, you would be correct. But like most women in the medieval settings, they have no power to impose their will on their husbands. MC is the king, and if he wants to cheat on his official wife, he can do so with impunity. The reverse, however, is not allowed.

This is a bug, I didn't think that someone could prevent the consummation of Elin's marriage without being on a romantic route with her. As a result, there is no corresponding variable check in the code. I'll fix it in the next update.

I mean if we're being accurate to a medieval setting, than no the king could not actually cheat on their wife, espically not in Europe. Some places would practice polygamy or concubinage, but this practice hard largely died out in Europe at least by the time Europe became Feudal.

However, such practice as favoritism was distributed in medieval Europe. For example, Edward III and Alice Perrers, Charles VII and Agnes Sorel, Alfonso IX and Eleanor de Guzman.

I don't like that this update had a mandatory scene. I'm talking about the scene where the MC grinds on Elin when they're with their mom, I'm doing the Aurora route and I'd like the option to not cheat on her +I don't do incest content in general. I'd like scenes to be optional in general but if there are mandatory scenes it should be with the chosen wife

just like in monkey business (incest, harem, pregnancy, voyeurism, romance, corruption, etc) and several new ones that fit the setting

I assume scene should happen only if you have negative relations or chose forceful ring ending with Elin.
It seems how the code is written renpy pairs (sis_dramma == "violence" and elin_intro_mood < 0) while others go with or so scene happen for all scenarious even if you have good relationship and chose love ring ending.

Probably code should look something like this:
