These renders are some of the best I've seen. Not going to lie, I almost tapped out in the first five minutes because of the MC but I stuck with it and before long I was starting to love him. I definitely appreciate the more humanizing elements of his character (pun intended). Quite a few times I ended up actually laughing out loud. Bravo. Can't wait to see more in the future. Also I can't wait to find out the real incubus effect was the friends we made along the way

Yes, MC is an apsolute idiot. But a lovable one. I see some improvement in his recent behavior. Dev Talk - Bubble bubble had some trouble
I guess it can't be smooth sailings all the time. Finally ran into some hiccups this week. Some shader issues I overlooked a long time ago when I first started creating the game assets decided to show their ugly face. Took a few days to find the cause of those issues and address them.
Also, poor initial planning of the house environment showed up here too. A single small window illuminating a small bathroom with white walls is an absolute nightmare for attempting to light by "outside daylight". This nearly tripled render times which isn't a huge deal outside of animations. Well, the foam shader and water volume is also demanding and certainly not helping.
Overall, these are things barely worth mentioning. More of a personal note to myself to keep in mind for future assets.

I had similar problem, 15 years old 64bit computer with win7, It didn't work too. I tried everything, nothing worked. I can give you another answer, I changed CPU and MBO and installed win10, so I don't know if problem was hardware or software. I read somewhere it was a problem with old CPU.
Another question: do all game give you problems or some of them? or just only this one?

You click, there is few seconds of (mouse cursor) activity and then nothing happens, no error massage. Just like you didn't even started?
How old is the computer? which CPU?
I have a DELL T3500 with cpu Xeon w3520 but only with regard to these games, the rest is perfect

Little bit newer than my C2Q Q9450, but still. I'm not sure if it's hardware or windows. I never tried to install win 10 on him. Yes, other things worked by me too, but not few ren'py games, those without 32 version. Probably the same as it was by my computer.
But the rest, the mouse cursor activity and nothing happens?
Did you saw any error in event viewer? My event viewer didn't show any errors, the .exe just didn't start anything.

I don't like to guess, but I would say that the newer version of ren'py doesn't like old Windows versions.
First game that didn't work for me was Caribdis's "Once in a Lifetime" (only last version, previous version worked fine), and I know Carbidis did the v1.0 of the game in newer ren'py then previous version.
