At this point the most exciting update for this game is when the characters get added to GOAT VR.

Games like this really need to just keep a continuous flow of what we want to see, even when they're recoding shit. If you've gotta undo months of progress and produce nothing on the game, at least continue making mp4s of the stuff we're actually here to see - H scenes.

Would anyone actually be annoyed at this dev if aside from their coding problems, every month came with at least one 15 second animation?

I'm always looking forward to updates to the spin-off game because I know there'll be content (porn) and it'll be more involved than "you unlocked a tape in the gallery". When this game gets an update, it's a guess as to whether it's even worthwhile to check.

umm have they dum it down?
It's complicated. Engine rebase gutted the project, after glitches gutted the project. From UE4 to UE5 to Unity, I imagine the developers and fans are not comfortable with the changes.

The team lost their Unreal engine programming help. Considering the issue of Unreal Engine coming with less support for core mechanics in lieu of robust rendering and animation kinematics, there's a reason why Unity is still popular even after the charge-per-install fiasco that passed recently. Unity provides decent graphic and animation support while providing easier foundation building for a wide variety of mechanics. Godot engine will probably adopt these strengths as it builds up.

i'm glad the devs are still kicking despite the unity shit that has happened, i do not recommend playing the game right now, the best way to describe it is "barebones" and it is understandable due to all the changes, hopefully the game will be back to it's beauty next year on this engine, heres to hopin.

(P.S. the discord rich presence is a VIOLATION)

They've got that shit flagged too? LOL. I mean they're still not as bad as the beatbanger goon dev, but that's a big no no. Using discord is dumb to begin with but nobody wants to be outed playing a porn game on their social media program, that's extra dumb. Hopefully unlike the beatbanger goon that was just left on accidentally and will be removed.

My problem with the devs is that three months ago they said they were doing good progress, but since then, all we got was the first night teaser, which is basically the 0.804 version with some changes. Now two weeks ago they made another dev log saying that things are going well again. But if we are going to see something coming out of it remains to be seen

I'm confused. They remade the game in a new engine, took out features, reworked things, and finally got to the point where it had actual gameplay again....then decided to remake the game in a new engine *again* ?? At least this update isn't that swap over...but that makes me question why this update exists if they are already porting it to another new engine anyway?

Discord rich presence isn't something that can be "accidentally left on" as it is something you specifically have to make, and download their SDK for, in order to implement. Discord doesn't just display any and all applications running on your computer, after all (though it does parse them). That said, I can't see the SDK in the game files, but just tested and it does indeed integrate with discord with a custom name and logo. Maybe they have it packaged in the project itself, rather than being loaded as a .dll like the rest of the third party content? On top of that, they renamed it to something else, since I can't find it in the manifest either.

Looks like there hasn't actually been an update. They posted an update on itch.io, with a link to an older build (which was already available for 40 days before the new update log), and the info posted is misleading. They're actually just saying "this is what we're doing right now, but this is not what you guys can play yet." So "New Build INFO!" is literally just that: info for a new build...but NOT a new build release -.- Worth mentioning: this both is and isn't build .804. It's .804 with an opening and closing cinematic teaser added to it, and the original .804 came out 94 days ago.

I seem to recall another scenario where there was deceptive wording in their Discord updates which made it sound like there was a new update released when there really wasn't. Seems to be a strategy.

Good to know. I don't use that program, but that is not okay for any HG dev to force on. There's no good reason to do that.

So, long story short they're remaking the game in a better graphical engine yah?
LMAO no. They upgraded to an engine (from UE4 to UE5) with better graphics, quit because making gameplay mechanics in UE5 was too difficult for the team, switched to Unity, then immediately witnessed the Unity pay-per-install fiasco that made indie devs looking to make major sales hop to Godot engine instead. Godot is like a proto-Unity that's attempting to catch up.

Does she not attack in general or only in the new version?
In the old version she never attacked me or I don't know how to trigger her.
Maddie (chubby dog) is an interaction objective blocker. She doesn't attack but does not need to for her role -- making it hard to interact with objects to prevent a problem (typically power outage) from happening. In the final UE5 build the hall's side-door lets the rabbit skip your office's doors and attack from the ceiling, and Maddie enables this by blocking the button to close it.

I'm kinda at a loss to figure out what the problem is. I remember going into my account options (I think) to disable Discord-rich presence displays and nobody could see what game I was playing.

the door is also where Misty is, when its open and you squeeze the doll she will try and open your door

I was always under the impression that Misty comes at a specific interval of clicks. In a previous version as I explained, clicking the plush more than 10 times in a row made her appear regardless of whether that door was open or not. Then in the last update they were made more aggressive but the plush threshold was so high I couldn't feasibly trigger it despite all the extra plush mashing to be done with more aggressive pursuers.

Ah, maybe next time I play I'll try to confirm that the door might enable Misty -- in the most recent update I played the threat of Misty seemed to vanish.

Godot is mostly for 2D though. Sure, it can handle 3D decently, but if you're going 3D Unreal is the true powerhouse.
Yup, which makes the developer of this game feel sad that they moved from UE5 to Unity to ease effort constraints. Unity's nice for being good at both 3D and 2D. Maybe when Godot gets popular enough we'll start seeing awesome 2D Godot games.

Misty's door mechanic has been in for a very long time lol. The door in question is just outside your office to the left, and behind it is *only* Misty. If her door is open and you make too much noise (using the plushie), she will barge into your office and initiate a minigame of "click fast enough for x amount of time, or lose." This attack will happen even if the door to your office is closed.

I haven't tested it with the current update, but I know they made Misty super easy in the past, and whenever she triggered, it would reset all other girls to their starting point. That, on top of the fact that time doesn't pause while she's attacking you, meant it was actually *good* to trigger her.
