Yes, but I forgot how I did it. Maybe I added some missing image based on the error message, or I might have pressed some key to quickly skip that part of the dialogue.

I managed to make the translation work with the HarD version. I had to repack the whole game to make it work.
Most of the UI text is now also translated.

just found a solution to the japanese locale, just use this emulator

. right click on game exe --> locale emulator --> run in japanese. enjoy!

I'm using that and the game isn't launching. Like there's no error message. The other exe in japanese that has options launches though.

It was working like half a year ago and now it's not. I'm on win11.
