I just finished Inanna's Revenge from start to the current update, and I am very much enjoying the experience so far, and I consider this game an overall step-up from AlwaysFan from the world-building (especially the unfilitered racism/fear-mongering tactics of the humans towards mainly the elves as well as other races in Nazdranya), the camera angles, the variety of LIs, the sexual scenes (very reminiscent of Eternum and Fleeting Memories which are other projects of HS2 I enjoy), a sensible and relatable MC for the story, numerous choices dictating the story (a very addicting aspect), and a ot more content than I envisioned when I first started (always a plus for me). Additionally, that ending to episode 2 reminds me heavily of a mature isekai "Parallel Paradise", which is a somewhat gruesome and sexually-filled story. Atemx has definitely improved from his prior project, which I would highly recommend anyone here to try out.
The only serious gripes I have with Inanna's Revenge, which have been somewhat covered in prior discussions in this thread is defintely the writing. For example, being how fast the development of Sylvia and Arthur's relationship goes to unquestionably devoted to one another. Yes, I'm very aware that the MC is such an anomaly in this world with his blatant lack of knowledge and previous held beliefs of fairness/equality amongst everyone (if the player chooses to go down that route) and Sylvia's honest demeanor as well as the sudden 180 of encountering a human possessing a respectful and humble attitude towards Sylvia became a perfect storm in a world filled with blatant hate/discrimination/enslavement towards Sylvia and her people (and other humanoid races) by human civilization. I just wished that the duo had more time experience together in such a turbulent environment, or even that level of devotion became a topic of conversation between the two after the MC's choice to undoubtedly have Sylvia as his hand, since that would give Sylvia enough proof that Arthur is serious about seeing her as an actual being above the status of a slave. To put it another way, if the story waited even later after a few more events going into episodes 3 and possibly 4, I would be 100% on board without question.
Another issue is that I noticed the MC either loses or gains no affection/love points between Kayane and Sylvia if he doesn't share them within the story (both Troy and blacksmith). Specifically, with Troy, if you don't invite him into the mini-orgy and simply have Kayane/Sylvia threesome, the choices that follow automatically lose you points with one or the other, yet, if you share one of them with Troy, you gain affection points with both. I'm very confused by that decision by Atemx, since Sylvia repeatedly mentions that she is ok with sharing her love with the MC with other girls, as long as Arthur basically doesn't forget about her (Pretty much the same scenario as Emilia from AlwaysFan). I personally had no intention of choosing one over the other in that encounter, especially since the MC has proven to have the stamina to outlast pretty much anyone else and surpass their expectations, even for an experienced LI/follower of Inanna like Carmen for example.
Last but not least, I'm surprised by the decision to copy-paste Emilia into the story into a somewhat important role. I don't mind whatsoever about the albinism/vampire aspect (as others have mentioned, we need that Sanguis affinity somehow), but I wish Atremx simply used a different model. I'm not trying to get too side-tracked, but I found it hard for me to consider Emilia attractive physically (the facial features) in AlwaysFan, and her forced ties to the other LIs and unavoidable appearances brought the game down somewhat for me. However, she has arguably the best personality amongst LIs I have encountered in any AVN, which also prompted me to not fully go down the NTR path as that was heart-breaking to witness towards such a pure soul like Emilia. I understand that Emilia is a favorite of Atemx, but I hope that Inanna's Revenge Emilia (Yes, I kept her name for the affection points) isn't constant presence unless it's necessary for the story.
Either way, I'm still heavily invested in the project, and I hope Atemx keeps up the pheromonal work as usual, and I can't wait to see what's in story for episode 3.
