But you do realize that if no release date is specified, it could be today or in 10 years or never?Expectations.
A dev that sets expectation estimates is giving his supporters a time frame, and if you want to support, you expect for them to deliver roughly around the time they say they will. A Prime example of this is Being A Dik - BADIK, the expectations have been set for a yearly release, it's acceptable because he sets his supporters expectations clearly and usually he delivers good updates. You will be hard pressed to find more than a handful of users in that thread whining about his schedule.
I support five VN/Games in total atm and the devs set my expectations on release dates, upcoming plot lines and graphic designs of the models, so I am satisfied. If I have an issue I go directly to Subscribestar/Patreon/Discord to voice my concerns and speak to the dev directly. 99% of the Whining/Milking/crying posters here are simply free loaders, who will tell you how dumb you are for supporting any dev as if these titles are free and easy to make. Non supporters can complain all they like but it turns into 2-3 pages of bashing a dev because "OMG" the update is a week later than the exact date he said it would release on. A Dev should NOT give an exact release date until they are 100% certain they can hit that date. That's the point, if it's not 100% ready to go then don't announce it will be here on XYZ date.
Innocence or Money is very ambitious with it's translations alone! So many different people to be contacted and have translations completed, not to mention the different platforms it is available on (PC/MAC/Android). The Graphics quality is also very high, and in general when they release very few errors are missed, I'm fine with having some patience and playing something else until it's ready.
In your example, the Italian translation of “innocence or money” was so awful that I went back to the English.
“ The Graphics quality is also very high ,” but do you realize that they are purchased assets? Seen in 50 other games? Where is the time investment?
