At this point, there are three things to do that could save the game.

1. Fire the writers. THey are awful. The story isn't complicated, but they manage to make it so, they take a fun setting and press it into a boring tedious mess. Is there even one joke that is even remotely funny? I feel more like crying than laughing most of the time.
2. Completely rework the game. Cut everything up to the part where you actually start on corrupting the girls down to maybe at best half an hour of gameplay, throw all the clutter out.
3. Concentrate on the strengths, the beautiful, sexy and funny artwork and the well-loved settings and characters.

From the start the people making this game have wanted too much. They had delusions of grandeur and not the skill to actually back those.

The good news is that point 1 has been completed and they're working on 2 & 3.

Yeah they could've started working on the corrupting part way sooner ,but somehow they decided to mess around, ruining the MC by feeding him alcohol so that he could earn the girl's distrust in the first place, making the start of the game a clusterfuck.
Delaying for the storytelling's sake is fine, but doing so in a ridiculous way isn't.
But from now how they'll fix it we'll have to wait and see.
We'll see some sex element as early as 0.3F, which I think is four weeks away??

Final should be out by end of April which is a public release. We are doing a 25 day sprint, + 5 testing, then 2x10 day sprints and 4 days of testing each. So basically, there's a schedule, a development branch and feature branches now.

From the player perspective, I am trying to get to the point of ironing everything out. As far as gripes about the story, there seem to be 2 players bases, where some like it or they hate it or do not care. I am of the latter in this case, where honestly, you can hit Ctrl and just skip all the text, that it shouldn't so much matter to the player.

However, that being said, there is not enough goal tracking for that bit to work correctly, and you will be arsed trying to do so. I figure once we have alleviated that annoyance things might be a lot better and we can just enable a quick play mode as well.

Will this be in 0.3? Nope :( I will try to get it into 0.4A in May.

PS. I am sorry I won't just post the game here :( But changelog? Why not?

I like that there is a story and world building but agree with most people here it's too much of an exposition dump initially and feels slow going. I think a number of stuff could be relegated a bit to extra stuff the player can learn / find on their own.

Suggestions for the whole story rework stuff that was suggested by
botc76

- Redblack doesn't remember his porn fanfiction initially as a change to the present one so Hagrid on about them makes little sense and this thing is skipped over. The reveal of it is done by Redblack finding Dumbledores stash of magazines and stuff (the art already seems like it's in game under the left side of the desk)
- Have the confrontion with Snape happen relating to Nymphadora, that leads to the MC drinking
- Have the whole drinking section mostly cut. Redblack starts drinking with the painting then the screen goes black and Older Redblack says "what's going on" The Minister then says something like, these memories are missing you must have been really drunk. This cuts a lot of the stuff with Redblack alienating people in the school
- When you go back into the memories it's the drunked duel with Snape but it's again about Nymphadora
- All the drunk conversations with the painting then are moved to optional stuff where Redblack asks the painting hat he got up to while drunk. This moves all the drunked talks with the painting, the school speech and all the drunk stuff with the prefects to the painting telling you about it.
- Snape doesn't bring up Redblack's mother (yet)

Reasoning for the changes.
We don't really need to see Drunked Redblack ruin everything initially just know he did it, putting this stuff as the painting telling you about it lets people experience it as an optional thing should they want to but it doesn't damage things story wise as you could have Mcgonagall say the Redblack alienated all the prefects and made a speech that insulted most of the school that cuts like a 10-15 minute sequence to seconds but doesn't throw out all the content produced for those sections so far allowing it to be optionally explored by people section by section. So as an example you ask the painting what you talked with it about initially and can ask "Anything else we talked about" to learn about the next thing or "That's enough for now" to sort of pause it. Then after that you can ask about what you did while drunk which plays the drunked speech scenes. Then you can ask about how you alienated each preferct in turn and see those scenes.

Snape bringing up Nymphadora is mostly due to his thing for Redblack's mother. As is hinted Snape had a things for Redblack's Mother. It makes more sense for the stuff about Redblack's mother to come up ater solving the puzzle and it allows Snape to have some development rather than switching from angry to Redblack about Nymphadora to then on about Redblack's mother not long after it gives a sense of progression of Snapes storyline and an additional use for the puzzle thing.

Also credit to whoever managed to sneak in Lesirue Suit Larry as a statue outside the Headmasters office.

I get it might be a fair bit of work moving stuff round etc but it would likely save the work entirely going to waste but also streamline the intro and remove what does come off as a lot of info dumps. Instead moving it to content people can explore later or at their leisure. Also it gives more things to tie achievements to. E.G. Learn about your drunken speech, learn how you alienated the prefects etc etc.

In my mind if you can't skip the text and play the game, we are at fault.

Content will be pushed before reworking the entire story. Ctrl key, has an auto skip to next choice option, you can legit skip all text. You should also be able to skip all text and play the game.

In my mind if you can't skip the text and play the game, we are at fault.
I entirely understand wanting to get new content done before reworking things at this stage of development
