The whole game is a fucking mess. It has such potential, but at this state, I doubt it will ever get finished and have fluidity to the gameplay. The lewdness meter is ridiculously slow to fill and is totally backwards in how it works. When Kate is most desperate at the beginning of the game, is when one would think that she should be most willing to do what she has to do to survive. Later in the game, when she has stacks of money, she doesn't need to be sucking dicks in the alley or taking it up the ass at a the gloryhole. she'll be chilling at home. Now, if you want to call it a "depravity" meter, and really show her starting to ENJOY these nasty sexual situations, then sure. It could make sense. But "lewdness" makes no sense at all, and restricting her from making money when she is desperate is stupid. There are no events that actually make her NEED money. she can fuck Nina for free rent, and everything else is easily within grasp of turning a few tricks at the massage parlor. There's really no desperation at all, which is what this game desperately needs to have some backbone.

And to top it all off, when you finally do get some sex scenes, half the times the animations (my favorite part of this game) don't even line up correctly!

The Eva story line is as disjointed as it can be. So what, she's a figment of Kate's imagination? Why are you so in love with her after she basically takes you by force in her living room one time? The fuck? And the homeless guy in the alley? Who the hell is that? The devs might have good ideas for these characters, but having them only partially fleshed out just makes this version of the game feel really pointless to play. Don't even add this shit until it's done, it's just making the entire experience feel like even more of a mess. Knowing this dev team though, you'll be able to buy the "Insexsity Plus+" version of the game that actually has the content to fill in these massive plot holes.
I can't be the only one who sees this, can I?
After playing this for far too many hours, I see you raise some good points. As to your first one, at least we're given options to turn down money and just do it because we want to for free... so that one's kind of a non-issue, but I agree that depravity would be a much better word to use. You're also right that money is pretty useless after awhile, but coming up with the initial 19k does require quite a bit of hooking.

The game is super buggy, but did make me laugh when Kate was giving a handjob by pounding on Oliver's cock with her forearm, so, that's something.

The Eva story line really didn't make any sense for me... in the dreams she's talking about taking her away from the depravity and whatnot, when it's her fault that Kate turned into a whore. The only way I can wrap my head around this is if Kate's pursuit of Eva is really just her falling further down the rabbit hole of "lewdness" and subconsciously wanting to embrace it by being in love with "her".... but! Why? The bigger issue for me, though, was just how rushed everything was with her. Had they taken a little more time to develop an actual relationship with her, it would've made her dream sequences more impactful, but instead she's hastily introduced and like you said, basically just sexually assaults you (par for the course) with no lead up.... and then it turns out that she's not real... and you're someone else? And your sister doesn't exist (in this city at least) or she's Nina's daughter, or you're both Nina's daughters.... who the hell knows. The Lance shit is bonkers, too (but thumbs up for the under the desk stuff).

Sounds like an unusually sensible and straightforward telenovela plotline tbh. :v

I think the Eva story CAN make sense, a lot of sense ... but I'm not sure if my interpretation is the developers' ... and anyway, to say more would be a horrendous spoiler if anywhere near the mark )

As for Lance. Well, he's a nobler class of user, surely? ...

At least Eva's "real" stuff seemed, normal, more or less... but none of Lance's make any sense. "Hey, you're a hooker who frequently walks around town with jizz all over you, you'd make a great Homicide Detective."

Does Eva at least continue to play some kind of role once you're done with her storyline? If so, that's cool, it's like a pervy version of who killed Laura Palmer.

Maybe Lance sees Kate as a sort of Pretty Woman, and he's the guy on the horse?

Looking for plausibility in porno areas is a bit needle-haystacky, but surely it's not implausible Lance would recognize Kate has high cognitive intelligence (and so may be a useful detective researcher and reporter), despite some intellectual condition of social-emotional disability and therefore complete inability to "read" and understand other people's motives. If that is the case, however, he's massively exploiting her sexually and emotionally. Hence my original comment above.

Normally I'd agree with your first sentence (second paragraph), but the devs have gone through painstaking lengths to sully all the sleaze with a narrative. I just think they're weird.

The thing with Lance is that when you're "working" in his apartment you get the dream music, which throws me off. This weekend I'm sure I'll pick this back up again and get deeper into his story.

I am struggling to understand the official walkthrough, partly because it feels like english isn't the writers first language, and partly because it's written by location, not chronologically like many are.

How do I advance lance's storyline, I've been to the police station, met him, have laptop, have read email, but have no idea who/where I'm supposed to be meeting. I think it's massage parlor?

If you need to meet him go to his house . In police station he said that . He lives under Kate's house .

yeah that's the walkthrough I mentioned in my other post. It's too vague. "31.1 after getting a Laptop (24.2) and reading the email. Do what it asks for and don't forget to wear a massage robe." All the email does is tell me to get closer to someone, doesn't say where or who. I vaguely recall part of the conversation with Lance being about my employers business being a front or something...
