i like it, the way you talk about chronic pain.Stay strong my friend. Dealing with chronic pain is an absolute ass. You lose motivation, are cranky all the time etc. But dont worry, you will eventually adapt. My recommendation are pretty similar to others, but I swear they do work, just isnt instant. That being getting enough sun, excercise (not sure about your pain limitations here, but at least take frequent walks/power walks, preferably in nature, you should not have a day where you dont actually go out) and focusing on the stuff you are thankful for, rather than on the stuff you arent (that probably being the pain). Kurzgesagt has a pretty nice video about the thankfulness, shows how our happiness is really kinda in our heads and extremely subjective.
Also try not to overdo it with escapes (porn, games, alcohol, drugs), or you will painfully prolong the adaptation period. Its like having the body realize over and over its in a shit state, after it wakes up from the escape.
Doctor K also mention about this many times, just don't runaway, first step for anyone is to know that you don't want to temporary escape from problem.
