If this game has enough content already, then you (the dev) could just give it a quick (rushed) closure to mark it "complete" and then adjust/modify the details to polish the game afterwards whenever you feel like it. I think that can help with stress and fatigue while giving the game proper closure. I remember Dreams of Desire adding animations and some stuff only after the game has completed.
Dev jst post new game with ths sequence..name is the wishes..search for it

Agreed. Completing a game > starting a new one (The Wishes) would be a wiser approach. People tend to have more faith in devs that can complete something (even if unsatisfactory) you can always do a remake, redux or dlc. But closing a project lends to some fans with extra cash to bet on other projects you may do.
