I know that Elena was drunk, but it is interesting that she kisses Layla first. Maybe there is something going on between them.
The kiss between Elena & Layla requires a certain number of Layla points (and is the only way to get the Elena / MC kiss), this seems a strange way of doing it, maybe it hints at a possible threesome if points are high enough with both girls.
For wild theories, I wonder if a Elena / Layla relationship could have something to do with :

Alright I went back through the game again and was curious what people thought regarding a few things...
Madison Springs is a really small town and everyone seems to know each other (so far). Which makes me wonder:
Alexis reminded the MC of someone when they first met. Random thought or clue to the fact that he knows her or her family from before his leaving?
Alexis is a sophomore in college, most likely the same one Erynn attends. Do they know each other? Have they known each other for awhile?
Erynn hung out with Ethan and an unnamed girl (maybe someone the MC has now met but didn't remember?), had a lot of friends. Are they still around?
When talking to Zach, in response to Zach saying he got kicked out the MC says, "oh you too?" Did MC get kicked out of school in Madison Springs before leaving or at his Dad's place?
Did Mel and Emily go to college together? Did they attend college in town?
Layla was neighbors with Erynn "back in the day" then did the MC know Layla and not remember her? After all the MC was a next door neighbor to Erynn. Does Layla know MC's mom?
Did Tori spread a rumor about Layla before?
Errors:
If the MC doesn't go around to the backyard when getting a hair cut Melissa still acts like it when she talks to Erynn. She says it's a bit of Deja Vu when Erynn mentioned the idea.
Not an error but I really think that Nyx should have told the player if it was a male or female voice that the MC was hearing during the shower scene.
Anyway, I like the changes that Nyx did in the new update to the game. Looking forward to more!

I'm gonna answer some question which won't spoil anything.
Madison Springs is pretty big actually. But they live in a smaller town at the outskirts of Madison Springs.. Which is still called Madison Springs.. That's why they have to take a bus/train to go to the city.. It's like 20min away..

I know you play as the MC and actually know if the voice was male or female. But this way, it adds more to the mystery.
It gives me more options.
Female: Mother, sister, girlfriend
Male: Father, brother, boyfriend, husband

Now when I reread it, it would be really weird if it was the father or brother.. Since they mention that Alexis normally doesn't lock the door. And they wouldn't just barge in on a girl in the bathroom.. So these options are invalid..
What do other think about this.. Do you want me to add if it's a male or female or keep it like this and keep you guessing until it is resolved?

I think it would be better if you add it. Helps more with the story buildup and foreshadowing I guess.

I'd rather know now, as if it was a boyfriend or husband, I'm no longer interested. (other people may not care, and that is fine)
I hope it is a female, as the MC would also be able to narrow a male down to two options, and unless we are forced to play as someone who doesn't mind having sex with someone who is cheating, he would have done / said something.

Erynn is Melissa's daughter..
They were neighbours when they grew up. But Erynn doesn't live with her mother anymore. She has her own apartment in the city. So technically they aren't neighbours anymore..

I would say, keep it a mystery if u plan to reveal it soon.
If u want to keep that mystery for several more updates i'd agree with ShadowThrone, than it would be nice to know if it was bf/husband and a option to ask her about the male voice (if it was male) + a possibility to end things, for those who don't want pursue a already taken women, or at least know what kind of ride awaits them.
