Really good game overall so far...but sweet jesus the character writing went completely jump-the-shark overboard with all the girls' constant internal monologue additions.

Like you already have the MC written in as a complete 'every girl wants you" stud. That extra layer of non stop "here is a reassurance ego boost for you just in case what is happening in the game isn't enough to adequately pet any extreme insecurity complex a player might have" is actually serving to be more immersion breaking as whole then anything else. Which also just waters down the female characters as individuals imo, and in essence just accomplishing the exact opposite of it's intended effect for me. It's basically like the writer wants me to feel alpha while playing it, while at the same time trying to remind me non-stop that they are writing these character presentations under some hard assumption that I'm actually anything but and some fragile flower type.


I mean beggars can't be choosers I guess when it comes to games that at least get the solid english presentation right I guess...but yeah. You could pretty much delete out 90% of that and the writing comes out the other side better for it minus the small handful of people out there that need and/or are actually going to get off any extra on that type of petting.

Other then that is it top'ish tier. That's why it bothers me. There is nothing top tier about 300 additional included lines of cringy mental thought text stressing to the player how obsessed every girl is in "you and only you". Which as a backdrop just completely contradicts the otherwise great natural flow presentation the writing would have without it.

Like i said it comes across a lot more thrown in there to cater to to a few delicate and overly insecure player mindsets more then anything else imo. As pretty much all the girls' decisions/actions within the game, along with a endless amount of well done banter between you and them, is already enough as a whole to que the player in that the girl really likes you.

From playing through Layla and Alexis are his sisters it quite obvious, hope I'm wrong but the way they kept hiding her dad after showing you your dad.

I left off thinking the same thing. If anything I think it's just a tease nod towards a specific group of people here who would like that to end up being the case, but won't for the reasons you stated.

Given the Witcher jab and some of the other twists and hard in a good way choices he's thrown in (that scumbag mode Julie choice made me have to restart my game) the Dev strikes me as the type that would get a behind the scenes kick out of that too.

Not writing often, but I just test and finish all the game (so fare) and, I like it very much. I can't really tell about all the writing (because a pass some of them without reading) but the part I have read was pretty good (for my English knowledge ). The most frustrating thing on this game is the fact you need to choose witch girl you want (and honestly, I don’t know which I want …). So, if someone want to make a Harem mod for saving me to have the hardest chose to make .

Well harem is not always the answer . Even though i would like action with more than 1 girl , the story here tends to be grounded in the relationship department , the girls may have higher sexual drive ,but arent sluts or straigh up nimphos

Pointed what out? Gabi's hubby being Santi? Bro, that was immediately picked up on in ep6. I think a lot of us just took it as fact, instead of theory, too. With how similar Navarro and Gabi's hubby and Santi looked.

The available combined walkthrough/cheat mod will already allow you to do this. It just takes more work on your end to go in and change the true or false variables, which if you combine it with using the fairly extensive written walkthrough offered basically walks you through what variable you need to change and when.

But as others have already point, as a game that ultimately seems aimed at reaching a broader scale audience the girls choices involved is essentially a fundamental part in what makes it work as a legit "game". Which if the choices are hard and potentially agonizing to make without more then rollback cheating is usually a fairly solid indicator that it is doing a pretty good core gameplay job of that.

Despite what I've seen a lot of reviews here on the claim, I also think that aspect really helps take a basic story presentation concept and elevate it into being a lot more then cookie cutter basic.

Well until now, we can atleast hope for a Threesome Elena/Layla. After the picture mc got from them it´s possible atleast that we could get that as a one time thing. But i will always prefer solo, becaouse the Harem crap got really boring. Mc gets his Dick out and fuck every Chick ... Well Harem will be always a fantasy for 99% of the males.

Layla is still best girl in my books with Nikki as a close second but I find Valeria to be the cutest girl in the VN (sorry Zach, the bro code will be broken at some point). And as a man who loves kissing and foreplay, it hit a sweet spot. Now to explore the other routes a bit more, curious how the other routes will play out - Elena's route will be tricky considering how much Layla likes the MC, Telling Layla the truth about Alexis will be tough, How are you gonna mend things with Alexis/Nikki/Cara?, Don't even know how things would play out with Melissa, Gabi or heavens forbid the mother, Have to help Erryn with the Ethan issue and then there's Valeria and Brooke.

Pretty much this. I don't understand why some people want the same thing over and over again, harem and all that other stuff. These games can be much more than that while not compromising the story being told. Besides, there's a lot of games out there with those tags. I'm sure it's not trouble finding them.

If i had to guess, many simply want a porn game, others may want a feel good game or wish fulfillment and harem is perfect for that.
At least thats the impression i get, when i see how popular games like WVM are, because it certainly isn't for the captivating story or the deep and diverse personalities of the characters.

As for the devs.
The most devs here are not seasoned game developers, even less experienced authors.
Harem games are rather basic/more easy to write.
U don't need a complex/interesting story, the characters are very fundamental, most of the time the typical roles like, the tsundere, the tomboy, shy girl etc. no deep characters or real character growth, instead u have quantity.
There is no need to make the characters act/behave/interact in a believable manner, because honestly no one even expects that in a harem game, not to mention enough screentime for each character to pull that off.

Of course there are also good harem games with an interesting story/characters, the list is far shorter thought.
