Yeah Rachel death only makes sense with dropped storyline, her disappearing with some money and then having Ethan die is more impactful IMO

yeah with how the story is I really don't think are deaths are needed or called for tbh but since Nyx wants them I feel Ethan has to be 1 of them
I don't like Ethan so it doesn't matter to me if he dies or goes to jail. Hell I'd settle for him being in the cuck chair while MC impregnates Erynn (that's oddly specific). If he wants to hold MC down to show him Erynn's sex tape, I can give him a front row seat to one.

I just look at Intertwined as an AVN based on a lot of teen soaps like The OC, One Tree Hill, 90210, etc. In those, death almost always did nothing for the show or the show was worse off because of it. I don't think I've ever looked at an Intertwined character and thought..."They should die, that's good drama."

Zach's an idiot but humiliating him would be fine, death feels unhinged. Nikki getting ran over in the old storyline sounds bad but that's just looking back with the advantage of hindsight considering she became popular.

yeah especially cause imo the story telling is the weakpoint and I feel a death needs to be meaningful or have some impact. I mean id love for Ethan to die just because but like you said idc how we handle him as long as he is handled. I see this game as one more for drama and character building / romance, so to me the best thing for the actual story / main plot just keep it simple.

You've definitely not been following the thread lately, have you?! (Though if you're still playing, that's probably for the best, unless you're actually okay with spoilers...)
I've played till the latest chapter last night, and now i've felt deathflags for another character

Just keep enjoying it, and don't get too caught up in the comments and spoiling your experience! Everything will turn out fine in the end (everything may well not turn out fine in the end...).

there's been some foreshadowing too about Val... could be bait, but maybe not.
According to these reports 2 characters die, our choices won't be able to stop it...
I think either Iris or John will be one of them, protecting MC/Erynn.
Santiago is a possibility, trying to be good dad late in life.

I don't like when characters die, often times the story doesn't treat this with the necessary respect...
Someone getting shot/stabbed but ending up hospitalized for a while would be better.

I know, I was referring to a specific scene where Val says she'll be fine famous last words, something like that.
She's not the first one to say "i'll be fine".
If the death is automatic and not related to our choices it shouldn't be Val, she's only targeted if she helped against Ethan.

Yeah I don't buy the Val death for a second and I'll eat crow if it turns out to be her.

Rachel's death is canon. Val is only accosted by Ethan and his goons if she helped fight them earlier. Killing a character based on indirect MC choice (she just helps if you have enough points with her) would be an extremely bad call. A death just for being friends with someone. So if someone has to die, it needs to be someone that dies regardless of MC choices. John fits the bill.

Just wait till Brooke is revealed as the ultimate mastermind who orchestrated everything to get rid of John and have Emily for herself.

the Val thing could still be up in the air, no fucking way she dies in that cliffhanger, that's for sure. But it could still happen in future updates for whatever reason. She is definitely not the top of the list, but for me she is still on it.

Yeah, our interactions don't change Rachel's fate... she finds some other way to get fired and ends up in the same place.

John is similar, no matter if he's the one that comes to the rescue or not... he always gets involved(not to mention probable paternity).
And Ethan always finds out his true identity, no matter if we attacked Ethan at the door or allowed Erynn to go inside.
It does look a like a character whose fate we cannot change.

It must be tied to some other thing instead of the relationship...
Zach asking Ethan to "help" with Valeria is something that happens indepent to we dating Val or not.

not to mention if the Ethan stuff only really happens if Val saves the MC that would mean it would be a choice to get to that point and Nyx said the deaths would happen no matter what. So unless Val gets on Ethan's radar in future updates I just dont see it. Gonna have to see how Ethan plans to help Zack with Val
