Puma1978 Something didn't go correct with that "QUOTE".

However, it's a simple question.
Requires a simple answer.
No More, No Less.

If You're unable perhaps, You are not being honest with Yourself, do not like the question, do not like me or whatever reason.
Can go on making guesses endlessly.

Would be nice if You'd just answered a question directly:

"would You like Your Best Friend to lie & manipulate, to Fuck Your Sweetheart?

Yes/No?"

Nothing more, Nothing Less.

Who lies and manipulates his/her best friend to fuck who's sweetheart? I feel kinda I am playing a very different game here:unsure:
Yeah I don't get this, if the idea is that Eryn thinks she has a claim on MC as her 'sweetheart' when 1) they haven't talked in 6 years, and 2) any such claim is based on puppy love from when he was TWELVE, then that's just all the more reason to NOT get involved with her....some Fatal Attraction level stuff.....

No idea what JohnF is saying(blocked).

Going by what You just stated.

There's a lot more going on then just the beginning content of the VN supporting More then "puppy love" AND content to be seen with not only Erynn but MC as well.
On a "Sweetheart" Level(More then simple "Puppy Love").

Should check it out, if interested.

You can bang Gabi the Spanish teacher.

Just like Emily and Melissa, I find Layla's and Alexis' mom out of reach. Even if you manage to do that, the MC would get in a lot of problems if that happened.

And I'll bang Zach's mom and sister out of vengeance. That little shit deserves the worst alongside Ethan.
How do you get to Emily?

How do you get to Emily?
Could almost bet my favorite guitar Nyx will not create such a route with Emily.
However, crazier things could happen and i could be without a guitar.
Just don't see it ever happening with Emily.

It's sad to see Layla's reaction, but at least you can avoid that scene by being HONEST with the sisters before getting caught trying to be casanova.

In Erynn's case... no matter what you do, the last scene is always the same. For me knowing that your childhood friend is laying behind a dumpster, possibly drugged and raped, is far worse. People can like or dislike Erynn, but ending up like that is something nobody deserves.
I agree but I do have to add it's much easier (at least for me) to accept erynn's fate because the villain in this case is the antagonist of the story
in layla's case you're (the MC is) the antagonist
and I have to ask WHAT KIND OF MONSTER DOES THAT TO LAYLA??? lexi was right - you* are a disgusting piece of shit!

*not "you" as the person who I'm replying to, but the player who makes such a decision and MC by proxy.

Not difficult to see the secrets going route of Alexis, so in order to help better.
Secret as to whom and or what particular?
I've read that in previous posts that there is a normal route and a secret route for Alexis. Just wanted to know about the secret route

Could be mistaken, thinking it may be referring choice of telling particulars whom MC is or is not seeing/dating.
Without giving to much information, You'll see it when ya get there.
Walk troughs should be helpful with this if time is of the essence.
At any rate, should be fine in seeing content You're seeking in regards.
Enjoy!(y)

Thanks for attempting to explain your point of view. I made the following comment:

That seems to be accurate in your reasoning.
For example, you state:

This, of course, is not the case. The first time we see Erynn is as a flashback of the MC telling the story to Alexis. The NEXT time we see Erynn, she is talking with her mom. Then, we see her in the scene at the bar.
Here you state:

Here you have a CHOICE to stay with Layla and company or go with Erynn. How does Erynn make "Layla feel insecure with him?" What is illustrated or stated in the visual novel that indicates to you that Layla feels insecure with the MC?

In every playthrough I did, Layla and Erynn are happy to see each other. If you choose to leave with Erynn, Layla says that they will be fine. If you choose to stay with Layla, Erynn says she understands and leaves sadly. Layla actually says, "she looks sad." Remember an important piece here, Erynn is clueless about why the MC ghosted her and hasn't spoken to her in years. The issues being illustrated here belong to the MC — no one else.

Then you claim that Erynn causes undue tension in her relationship with Alexis because Alexis does not feel comfortable sharing her growing love for the MC! Except, the real reason for this tension is because Alexis is hiding the relationship FROM Erynn because she feels guilty about it.

Then, there is this whole mess to round it out:

The entire story starts out with a flashback about the MC and Erynn. This is a story about the MC and Erynn. Throughout the entire story, there are numerous girls competing for his affection. Their entire purpose is to cause conflict and release as potential love interests. Will the MC choose the love of his dreams? The girl next door? Or will he choose a new love?

And here is where you attempt to say the problem is how Nyx is using Erynn as a plot device in the story. I would say that the support above shows that the problem is you misunderstanding what the plot of the story is. The relationship between the MC and Erynn IS the plot. Erynn is a protagonist. All the other girls are potential love interests.

This, in no way, detracts from the fact that you have a right to your opinion. You can choose to like or dislike a character for whatever reason you feel works. But your claims and the claims of many of the people that have written large paragraphs attempting to illustrate their reasoning are all based on false claims. Nothing in the story actually supports any part of your entire explanation. I do not understand why this is so difficult. The story is written at a level that is easily understood, at least for most native English speakers. Perhaps, English is not your primary language. Perhaps, many of the people making ridiculous claims about the story are people who never actually read the story. There seems to be no other explanation.

I would attempt to understand other people's long dissertations on why they believe Erynn is <insert random belief here>. But it appears to be almost entirely the work of trolling. I appreciate your explanation and your taking the time.
You seem to be under the misapprehension that I do not like Erynn. This is not the case. I like her quite a bit, in fact. I merely have an issue with how she is being used in the story. My claims are only my impressions of the situation and you can agree or disagree as you choose. But she is not being used to her full potential. She is positioned as more of an original sin than a chance at redemption. A discarded, half-eaten apple. She set the plot in motion, but she is not the plot. She is certainly not the protagonist, other than in the sense that we are all the heroes of our own story. MC rather successfully moved on from her to have other more fulfilling relationships with varying degrees of success, but Erynn is used and misused as a sitcom misunderstanding who stumbles into the apartment like Kramer in Seinfeld to introduce the complication.

I do not refute what you have to say but I do take issue with your language toward me and others when it comes to my comprehension of English. I am a native English speaker who has a degree in English literature and a Masters's degree in Creative Writing and Poetics. I have taught English composition at the university level. Simply because I have come to a different conclusion than you with the same available information does not mean I cannot understand language. It simply means we are engaging in a critical discourse about a creative work. It was very unbecoming of you to say that about the other posters as well. I would like it if you would apologize, especially to those for whom English is not their first language because they admirably put in the time to learn a second one. If you cannot be civil, it will not be worthwhile to discuss anything with you on this thread.

In short terms, many of us see it as Nyx drops the ball with Erynn very early on and pretty much continues doing so.
Has been an issue with many about Erynn for who knows how long now.
Was my biggest gripe with friends about this VN last year when we had our group viewing/watch-over VN events.

I know some take it to easy with their yes/No answer claim to such complex circumstances.

I was being a bit more general, not pointing a finger at you. You happen to respond intelligently. So I wanted to explore why you felt the way you did. But I did make generalizations that extended to the larger group of people who do not like Erynn. More specifically, the people who make claims as to why they do not like Erynn based on what they believe to be in the story. When, in reality, there is no support for those arguments.

I was actually going to post that you are a bit of an outlier, although I did not know why. This is why I appreciated your response. As well as this one. While I do not agree with your interpretation of Erynn in the plot, I can respect that you have thought about it further than the typical, "I don't like Erynn because <random incorrect assumption>>."

So, please accept my apologies. My reply could easily be considered rude and condescending. I assure you, that was not my mindset. In regards to the section talking about non-English speakers or people who have problems with reading comprehension, I offer that as a valid excuse and not an accusation or slight. The reason I include that specific clause about non-English speakers is to specifically give them an out. As such, I did not want to make assumptions or judgments if you were to fall into one of those groups. I did want to provide that as a legitimate reason. It would not be fair to that person to assume they just don't get it when English is just not their primary language. I made some overgeneralizations better suited for a separate comment rather than lumped in with our conversation. And thank you for allowing me to illustrate a point and being a good sport about it.

A footnote: Thanks for remaining in a conversation and giving me the chance to explain and apologize. Most people would have probably assumed I was just being a pompous ass and ignored me. You engaged and called me out when you felt I may have crossed the line. I hope you understand I had no ill intent. I see how it could easily come off that way. Thanks!

Okay so I've gone back to the training camp and chose Alexis but she still dumps me anyway ffs (Classic)... Will she change her mind or am I going to have to restart the whole thing?
