I've finished the smaller ending scene. Normally, this scene would play out a little differently, but because of certain reasons, I couldn't put it in the game. I will talk about it though on discord after the release if people are interested in it. It will also highlight what scenes are scrapped due to pushing a certain event upwards in the story. But as I said, more about all that after the release.
I'm working on the last ending scene now, the bigger one. As a matter of fact, you can actually see both ending scenes on a certain path. Only on one path though. I think I'm about half way done with that scene. Not much more left to do regarding renders.
Once all renders are finished, I have to do the post-render stuff and I still have to do all the coding. Nothing is coded yet but since it's a smaller update, I hope it won't be as complicated and won't take as long. If everything works out fine, I might give out an ETA next progress update.
Also, I did something new in the game. It's more of a test to see what people think about it. I can't say what it is since it will spoil everything. But again, we'll talk about it after the release and see if it's something you want in the game or rather keep it as it is.
I've also finished the remake of episode 3. I say finished, I still have to change the code with the new renders and add some stuff but that will be done within a day. It has all new upgraded renders, some new scenes, some scenes got extended and the script has also gotten some small changes/upgrades. This remake will also be included in the next release. Don't worry, it won't break saves since I won't be changing any variables. I strongly suggest to at least play the remake to see all the changes. I've put a lot of effort into it and I think it's worth it.
Now since the episode 3 remake is done, I'm also thinking about completing the first 3 episodes with sound/music, depending on how long that will take. But I got a question about what you guys prefer.
Option 1:
There will be a few background songs (I'm thinking something like Lofi, a more relaxed vibe) which will be playing on repeat during the whole game. Some scenes will get other songs to enhance the scene. For example, in Layla's first time scene, the fight between Erynn and Alexis or when they are in a club and so on...
Option 2: (This is what I have in the game as of now, in some parts at least.)
Every scene will have a background song/sound/noise depending on where they are. If they are walking in the city, you hear cars pass by, when you are at a bar, you hear bar chatter, when on the beach, you hear waves crashing and so on. When in a room where no sound/noise really fits, some Lofi songs, as mentioned in option 1, will be played instead. Also, the same as in option 1, some scenes will get their own songs. Maybe some sound files too when someone gets a text, phone call, car honking and so on... Or maybe that's too much? Let me know about that in the comments.
Of course, option 2 will take a bit longer but it might enrich every scene a bit more than a few songs on repeat? But maybe not? Let me know what you prefer by voting in the poll.
If you have any other suggestions, write them in the comments or if you rather message me, you can do that too.
If you have some nice sounding, relaxing Lofi songs or you know of some or any other song for that matter which could fit in the game, you can contact me either here on Patreon or on discord. But if you do, tell me where the song is from, so I can check all the copyrights, royalties and all that stuff that comes with it. "Royalty Free" or "No copyrights" doesn't mean it's free
That's it for now
