I simply won't play an Elena path if it means breaking Layla's heart in the process. The only Elena path I will play is if anything more comes of the Layla + Elena potential threesome or even throuple path.

I got no problem ctrl skipping past things like that just to play a path. Tho I am a bit of a monster here and it not that bad for me to see compared to another game I play.

I generally pick up the good student points, they come by easily enough, but in this instance i'll happily sacrifice... i always chose to look at Layla's legs
Even if this save isn't meant to be a Layla save, i still do it.

If you chose to pay attention to class instead of Layla, the MC answers the question correctly(and gets good_student points).
If you chose to look at Layla, then he has no idea what the teacher is saying and you get the choices you know.

You're both right, but let me elaborate a bit.

In ALL of my routes, as crappy as they are, three points have ALWAYS been very important to me:

1. All points from good_student
I was always keen to get all the points for a very specific reason, more on that later.

2. All points from Emily
Although it was always the pretext of receiving the motorcycle from her for his birthday, there was a second reason: a conversation in the kitchen where she explained to him that if he wanted to study, everything would be taken care of. At that point, I said to myself: STOP, NO. She means well, but it's the wrong path for his personal development!

3. Training with Layla
Except for one time out of curiosity (without saving), I always chose to train with Layla, concentrated if necessary, to ensure that the MC wins the race at camp.

Well, with EP 13, two of my three assumptions were confirmed!

Regarding point 3:
With the revelation of MC's father, he also knows that his father also saw his race at camp. By starting relay training, our MC is now in a completely different position as the winner of the race at camp. Under certain circumstances, this could be decisive for the relay race later on. Santiago's presence could provide a motivational boost. But something else is much more important to me.

Regarding point 2:
You can argue however you want. Emily has always been very important to me. Until EP 13, she was the MC's only real family member! Dinner at the Monoe's showed us what the MC is really missing in his life!

My goal:
What I'm getting at is, with good_student, I want to ensure that the MC graduates with a good to excellent grade. I bet that's what the variable is for.
With his performance in track and field, I want to ensure that the MC receives a scholarship to MSU. Because then the MC can proudly stand before his mom and dad and say: Look what I've accomplished!

And let's be honest: this MC, in particular, desperately needs it!

If you won the previous race, things might be different for this next one, like the MC getting the closer spot.
If Darryl probably will demand it if he won the previous event.
Being a good team leader might be crucial for success here.

I like to have a good relationship with Emily, not as much as you, but i see no reason to go the mom hate route, she's not perfect, she made her mistakes in the past, but she's trying her best.
Not sure what kind of relationship i'll end having with Santiago, i'm open to anything... at least in my first save i'll feel him out in the next meetings and go with my gut feeling.

The MC gets a lot of surrogate families in this game, John and Iris, Melissa and Erynn, the Morgans and depending on your choices the Monroes.
So i'm not starved for anything with Santiago.
I'll say my current feelings is that Santiago needs to prove himself to the MC more than the MC needs to show himself "worthy" to Santiago.

This made me realize the one time we are able to do do this and given a choice to clear things up or not. I always listen to Erynn's side of the story don't think I have a single save where I stayed mad at her and didn't let her speak. I know ive seen the option if you don't but didn't really play much past that without reloading

I think the stay mad option is one of the relics of the abandoned storyline, along with ignoring her when Ethan is beating her. All the options do is close paths, not open new ones up, because the one that should have opened no longer exists.

You know what? I'm starting to believe that NYX is deliberately putting the MC in a bad light, even immature, to delay this conversation.

I think both conversations with Emily and Santiago will resolve some of the "intertwined" issues and have significant repercussions for future EPs.

I've got some bad news. I'm sorry, but the ETA I gave last week was wrong. That's also the main reason why I never answer questions that ask for release dates.

All the coding for episode 14 is done, and I'm in the middle of testing it. I made a few small rewrites in the script to make it flow better. I've tested the longest possible route, and I was positively surprised that it took 2 hours and 50 minutes. That's much longer than I'd expected but very happy about it. It's probably a route, though, that not many people play or prefer playing. MC is juggling multiple love interests (at least 6, I think). But you can see most of the content in that one playthrough. Solo playthroughs are still much shorter. I didn't add too much music/sound for the reason I gave in the last progress update. Episode 14 is save compatible, but remember, episode 15 won't be, so I'd advise not creating too many saves since you'll have to redo them. I'll probably release at the end of this week if nothing changes. That's it. Were you worried at first?

Not sure if anyone in this thread remembers my post from a few days back talking about this being my second game after BaD.

Man I have been enjoying this game so damn much! I am currently at the part where Zach thought he slept with Elena on the trip lol. I wanted to know. How much more content do I have left. The game doesnt really tell you which chapter / episode you are on. I am hoping I have a ton more content because I am really enjoying the game a ton. Glad I decided to play it!

Also on a side note, at first I was all in on Layla but the moment that Val was introduced..... idunno man. I think Val might be the one I go after but I have no clue how thats going to complicate things with Layla and Zach of course lol.

This game fucking rocks.
