People acting like Andres is a Saint because he raised MC, ignoring the fact when he found out she was pregnant he berated her for having the audacity to get with Santi and calling her a slut. Andres reeks of a guy who couldn't win the girl, so leveraged raising her son as long as she cut the biological father out the picture. She was just dumb enough to go for it.

What we learn from Enzo is the latest update is that Santi would probably want to meet his kid, I'm not so sure he wouldn't have been around to raise MC had Emily not agreed to the ultimatum. He took a few days after Emily told him she was pregnant, likely sought advice from his parents, who then offered money for the abortion without his knowledge. If he knew about that, I don't understand why he would be so perplexed when he meets her at the beach and she storms off.

Jesus, I go away for a while and when I come back everyone's regressed to kindergarten level and are having sandpit fights with pushing each other's heads into the sand. Dafuq?

First, the only people we know who knows about Santi's parents offering money for an abortion are his parents and Emily. When he sees her on the beach after, she is mad at him and storms off with no explanation, to which he is clueless as to why.

How is Santi supposed to support his kid with Andres' ultimatum of Emily cutting him off? Especially after he has proven to be extremely jealous of Emily meeting Santi and updating him on their son.
*Knock knock knock* FBI OPEN UP!

Or in this case "I'm the biological father of that child, I will not be denied my parental rights". He was already quite well off and this would be easy to fight in court if even needed. Had he shown up at Emily's door within a year I'm 90% sure she would've taken him back.

You're partially right, but these are pieces put by Nyx, like changing the MC age, because initially people defended Andres while she prefers and wants the public to appreciate Emily more

Andres got swapped into someone else entirely with the cheating subplot. You don't go from raising someone else's kid, even without that person to "Oh yeah I'm just a womaniser who cheats on my new fiancee and punches the kid I raised as my own". I know Nyx frames it this way deliberately to make Emily look good, but from a neutral perspective based on the facts it really doesn't make a lick of sense.
One way to look at his behavior is to consider him someone who's very bad at the game. He's not a womanizer, he was so desperate to secure a wife he agreed to raise Emily's child as his own. After thirteen years of fidelity he learns Emily has kept in touch with his original nemesis, Santiago the Chad, and he freaks out. He's not exactly wrong, Emily is the kind of woman that would invite a man upstairs after a single date, don't let her conservative hairstyle fool you.

After the divorce Andres is not aware of how much social capital he has, so he thinks Haley is the only option, not just an option. When he realizes he can attract the attention of multiple women, he loses his composure and royally fucks up.

Would she? If she believes he pushed the abortion issue, why would she take him back?

As for his rights as a parent, maybe he wanted to respect Emily's wishes of him staying away and not disrupting the life she opted for. Why cause turmoil when she chose to accept Andres' ultimatum? It would likely end with Andres dropping her, and pushing her further away with no chance of reconciliation. Is Santi even on the birth certificate? Likely not, so there's another obstacle in the court battle.

It's not unreasonable to call someone a slut when you think you've been exclusive with her and she's been sleeping around (Santi and Mel) and got herself pregnant. It's certainly not nice, but perfectly understandable from an emotional state. "Holy fuck the girl I've been seeing has been sleeping around and got herself pregnant".

Let's also not pretend this is anywhere near the same thing as raising a kid for years. It's rather absurd to suggest a singular 'slut' undoes raising a kid. Or even diminishes it in the slightest.

Yes he was also an idiot who thought he could give her these conditions and that she would love him, but it's still far worse of a thing to do to him than anything he does. "I want to be with you and help you raise your child under the condition that we raise the kid as if it's mine" versus "I will pretend to want to be with you so you will help me raise my child, whilst I won't actually love you and never will or even genuinely try"

Meeting your fully grown child is not comparable to raising your child.

But even if we entertain the notion he would've wanted to raise the child, he's literally only tried to meet up with Emily once and after she stormed off he didn't do anything?

They never talked about this? Even when Emily was seeing Santi behind Andres' back? It never came up in any of their conversations?

S "Hey Emi, why did you refuse to see me for so long?"
E "Oh, I just didn't want to see you."
S "Okay, I get that but what about now? I'd like to be part of our sons life."
E "I'm sorry I can't, I promised Andres."
S "Okay, perfectly reasonable we will never speak about this again"
E "Thank you, now let's keep seeing each other anyway so we can discuss our son without you being part of his life"

Not a reasonable scenario.

Yes, in which case Emily is still a shitty wife/girlfriend and Andres is perfectly reasonable in breaking up with her. But the still raising the MC as his own, on his own. Doesn't match with that scenario.

It's also really strange that Haley would accept not seeing the son of her future husband before agreeing to marry him. That doesn't really line up. He gets introduced to her and her kids literally weeks before they're supposed to tie the knot? Don't buy it.

Mr. Single dad is scoring left and right, despite having 0 rizz? Don't buy that either.

A lot of his shitty behaviour is just retcons, he wasn't written as a scumbag. But after realising people rightfully sided with him, she tried making him one.

Why would she get back in contact and see him behind Andres' back if she believed that? Why would she never bring that up?

If he was serious about his son he wouldn't have accepted being completely cut out off his life. If Santi isn't on the birth certificate and Andres is, then he would by all rights be Andres's kid.

And if Emily did that, she'd be even worse of a person.

Emily got pregnant before she got with Andres, we only know of her sleeping with Santi prior to the fallout in the park. Only after this and Andres storming off, supposedly dumping her, does she get with Mel.

The thing is, I don't think Andres ever loved Emily. She even asks him this on the phone after he punches MC. She was a trophy for him. He snagged a hottie and had a son, life was good.

How could he do anything? She tells MC she avoided him for years, until they bumped into each other and discussed how MC was doing, which resulted in Andres pitching a bitch-fit and saying she was cheating and the divorce/separation.

As stated, there was no contact for years until she unexpectantly ran into him.

Are you forgetting that Andres conditions were to raise MC as his own? I'd imagine that'd include being listed as the father. As I said, people are quick to defend Andres, but all he did was self-serving, not because he's such a Saint.

It is an interesting debate; both sides have a point.

Andres raises a kid he knows that's not his own, regardless of the reason that's yooge. Was it for selfish reasons? Perhaps at first, he did it to leverage Emily's feelings, but once she broke up with him, he still did it. For five years, he did so without Emily's input, and if not for Emily blurting out that he's not the father in desperation (more on that later), he probably still would be. Yes, he turns out to be a womanizer, but we have no proof that he wasn't a womanizer with Emily. The only reason he got caught cheating on Haley was that MC had seen him. But that has little to do with this debate other than it turns MC off from him, so we'll move on.

When Santi is told he has a kid, he doesn't react in the best way. He likely has his parents pressuring him to drop her off, and when he goes to see her, she rejects him and disappears. He randomly runs into her and learns about the kid but still has to stay away from him because that's not his kid any more. So he watches from afar and interacts with him when he can, but he's not forcing the relationship. Could he have fought harder for his kid? Sure, but he also had parents pressuring him and his future in danger. I'm not saying what he did was right, but from a character standpoint, I get it. He took the path of least resistance, which I could see why that pisses people off.

Which leads us to Emily. She's living out her wild college days and gets knocked up. Emily is probably not ready to be a mom yet, but she knuckles up and settles down. She tells Santi, and he doesn't react in the best way. Then Santi's parents try to force her into an abortion, so she decides, for the sake of her child, to go with the dependable guy, but also a guy she doesn't love. She stays in this loveless marriage until she likely accidentally breaks one of his conditions by meeting the child's father in a chance meeting. Then they break up. By this point, everything is fine; her child has a father, and they're successfully co-parenting; then, she loses her child for five years because of something that has nothing to do with her. He finally returns and catches her with Melissa; seeing that he's angry and she'll likely lose him again, she desperately reveals the truth about his father to stop him from running away again. Was that selfish? Sure, but what choice did she have at that point? Ultimately, sure, she could've been more careful if she was living out her wild college days, but when push came to shove, she stepped up.

They all did regrettable things, but nobody is the bad guy. That being said, I could see an argument being made against all three if one wanted to do so.

-Mitch Henessey, The Long Kiss Goodnight

Good movie for this time of year. (y)
See, now you just made me feel older, because it was an old joke when that movie came out.

What name do we have to adopt in order to find Sha'carri and tap that ass?

Melissa not Iris, also everyone is glossing over the fact that Andres punches the MC when the mc confronts him about his parentage and the cheating. Neither of which are the MCs fault. Doesn't exactly scream saint of a human being.

Sure, I'm not saying he was. The point of my post is that they are all flawed human beings. That clearly shouldn't have happened, but that action wasn't in character with anything he's done previously, so I chalk that up to Nyx manipulating emotions.

Finished the Nikki path and I had fun with her on the gym date. Those two clearly have chemistry for days. Also, of course Im likely going to have to break Alexis's heart in the next update. I swear every update has a new way to break poor Alexis's heart. :ROFLMAO:

That's why outside of Fuckboy path - Lakelyn, Rachel, Tori, Gabi, Julia & Mira plus flirted with Melissa, Sha'Carri, & Brooke- all saves are single girl saves even if I lose a scene or two ex Valeria
