Well that's assuming there is some blackmail going on....however nothing really of note has been said about her father so I would find that unlikely.

What difference does it make? Really want the G8F updated bones etc, pretty simple to convert from 3 to 8.

idea of making MCs friend an antagonist (or close to it) is quite fresh. It's like a cliche when in almost every AVN MC gets a good, caring, supportive friend, and the only difference there is in levels of his goofiness.

I agree, but his antagonism will not go very far, Zach isn't the smartest guy around and the only way he could make MC's life more difficult would be with Ethan's guidance, but Ethan would not be around often to properly guide him and then Zach would probably screw up things and make the wrong move while sinking the whole plan, Ethan would lose his patience and throw him away at some point as Zach is 100% disposable (Zach would probably run back to MC asking for forgiveness). But if Ethan somehow takes Daryl to his side to make the "asshole trio", then this could pose some danger to MC as he would attack on the Erynn front (himself), MC's popularity, credibility and social life (Zach, Daryl and his crew) - with Daryl guiding Zach and on sports if Ethan does something (legal or not) to improve Daryl's performance on competitions and/or sabotage MC.
And i think Daryl has even more "reasons" to want to sabotage or go against MC than Zach, depending on the path, MC can fuck his girlfriend, throw her away with her wanting more, get popular with the ladies, beat him on the competition taking his spot light and then take the new girl he got a crush on (Valeria).
On this front theres two things i cant wait to see:
1- MC "snitching" to Valeria everything Zach did.
2- Daryl seeing MC and Valeria togheter.
And if this (2) could happen in front of Tori, even better, i can totally see her laughing at him, making jokes and saying that Val is in for a treat as MC is good with sex and Daryl realizing MC fucked Tori, something tells me Daryl would be "a bit" pissed

Both agree and disagree, the guy who is your friend secretly being an antagonist plotting against you would be a good twist, but Zach... Nyx made him unlikable from the start, so the fact that he gets manipulated and betrays you has no impact because people didn't like him in the first place.

Let's see what Nyx has in store for Darryl, he's been portrayed as a rival and a huge dick from the start.
And simply because we entered his "territory", he was the king of the track team and now he has opposition, before any girls became involved(Tori did attempt to cozy up, but Darryl is a rival wether we go for her or not).

Most players(me included) don't like him, but there have been small signs of him becoming slightly more human so we might see the reverse of Zach.

I've been wondering the same thing. Whether Darryl turn out to be a real friend. Can't put my finger on any reason for thinking that, just a possibility been floating around in my head. Like you said a friend trajectory in reverse to Zac.

I think he can be humanized, he's a bit of dick but most of it can probably be explained by competitiveness on track and the fact that he probably needs the scholarship to go to college(more on that later).
Despite his rough edges the worst thing he ever did was not helping when a guy jumped the MC, but he also didn't pile on.

Most of the time despite being somewhat envious of the level of female attention the MC gets he stays in his lane.

Can't really blame him for taking his shot at Valeria, he's not friends with the MC or Zach to owe them "dibs".

Layla/Elena, he delivers chicken wings to the house.
He's a bit ashamed to be seen doing that work, his schoolmates(specially the Monroe family) i suspect with much more money than his family.

I think its on Layla's path when they order some spicy chiken, Daryl goes to deliver and the player can tip him or not, if not he says something like he isnt surprised by it, he doesnt view mc in a good light either.

I just think that despite seemingly being a dick he mostly stays in his lane, and is within his rights to take a shot at Valeria(should've gone about it in a different way no doubt).

Santiago told us at the bar there it's going be a relay race next weekend, meaning we will be teaming up with him.
I suspect lots of training with Darryl and opportunities to learn what makes him tick...

darryl is a bit of an asshole, but he ain't evil imo unlike ethan
zach however is just plain stupid, he quite matches ethan (like they say its better to have a strong enemy than a stupid teammate)
