I don't believe Ximena is Val's Mom. She doesn't look old enough to have an 18 year old daughter IMO, unless she had her when she was very young. I think there will be some link though between them, her Aunt or something.

yeah now you mention, maybe she is her Aunt but her real mother died and she is taking care of her just a thought I randomly had reading this right before bed haha

Ximena is 28 like Gabi. That's too young to be Val's mom. But maybe it works the same way as in her show "Entanglement". Ximena could be the trophy wife of Val's father and getting her step-mom. Because Val's father is a real asshole she decided to live with her after they split up.

Maybe it's just me remembering wrong... And then excuse me... but is Val's mom dead? They speak Spanish here and then something is wrong... Or is the Spanish translator bad? Looking at this picture of what little we see of her Mom and Ximena's picture theres no way they are the same person right? The nose and mouth don't match at all IMO. Could just be deceiving though.
Also many people refer to a non biological parent as Mom or Dad, or mama in this case. Especially if they have grown up with them.

While Emily and Melissa also look good and quite young for their age, I don't think they look at young as Ximena. And she also appears to be best friends with Gabi, while people of different ages can be friends, I think they are likely the same age or close.
