I'd say she's around that age. Even considering that young mothers are a constant throughout the VN (Mel, Adrianna, Emily I think?), she'd have to be at least late 30s which would make her and Gabi's friendship weirder.

I wouldn't be shocked if Val's associated to that side of the family however, would fit the tone of the game.

Apart from that, Nyx said there was big hint to X's age in Ep 14.



There is only 2 scenes mentioning Ximena in Episode 14, the one where Val admits she knows her.

And, what I believe is the hint is in the scene where young MC slaps Melissa's butt.

Mel says she has a new client 'Young Actress Ximena Vergara". She's starring in a 'Teen Show".

So if she's in a teen show at that point she can't be more than 8-10 years older than MC (who is same age as Val).

Making it impossible for her to Val's mother.

I don't think we will be a new MC. At least from what I saw. She said it would be College life, some characters returning and some new. And even hinted at maybe proposals in 2. So sounds like just a continuation.

So I think it will be the same MC, when she gets to this story, cause I expect her to maybe do a game in between just to mix things up, before returning to the Intertwined universe.

As much as I might love the idea it seems like a huge amount of work for Nyx to embark on this idea.

Great point, lets us put that theory to rest. It was always going to have to be a bait and switch anyway for them to be the same due to what little we see of Val's Mom's face not matching Ximena. Literally different models.
Though I was hoping for a scene on the Gabi and Val path where the MC is coming out of Val's bedroom and sees Ximena and she finally realises who the MC is.
Maybe there is still a link and the show entanglement itself is a clue as to Ximena's link to Val since in it Ximena plays the step-mom.

Don't forget though that "teen shows" have been quite notorious for having adults play those teens (often a good ten years older than the part they play), so the age part that would provide a catch there is the "young actress" bit that is entirely subjective. That may be more a 90s thing, but is still prevalent in later decades up to the present day.

But as far as Ximena being "Mom" - am I making up a memory here? I seem to think that Val's dad remarried, opening the door to Ximena being the step-mom. It's entirely possible that I'm not making it up but it's a memory of a theory from this thread rather than anything said in the game though! (Or it's the plotline from Entanglement...)

I think you're just remembering Entanglement. She plays a step-mom in the show. Its explained to MC at one point.

the only thing I recall is that Val's mom and dad live separately and were never married. I don't think it's confirmed either way if any of them married someone else later on.

Val says that her parents were never married during the beach date.

Ximena could still be her step-mom though for sure. Like I said perhaps the show entanglement itself is a clue since Ximena plays the step-mom.
