So... What's the general consensus on the Ethan situation? Terrible plotline, or...?

Its not... terrible. But it is... horrible.



Like, I'm down with it conceptually. But the execution of it is just so laughable and dragged out and it ends up being more of a stain and a reason to dislike Erynn than a plus to her story.

Instead of activating protector mode to stop Ethan from fucking with Erynn, I end up activating "shut the fuck up" mode to stop Ethan from shitting up the story with his stupid face. I want MC to stop Ethan to get him out of the story, more than I want MC to stop Ethan to save Erynn from him.

Yeah I agree with you and LSC82 that Lexi is the common factor here and perhaps Nyx should add an extra scene at the bar where she asks the MC what the hell he's playing at with Layla and Erynn. He either makes a decision or she will tell them both.

See I find what he said not as a big deal to me. Even if it's fucked up I find it much easier to get over some words than what he did with Ethan. I mean him saying that would be enough too not want to be his friend either as that means he has shown his true colors. I just find it more forgivable than what he did with Ethan.

I was also hoping for a dramatic confrontation for an MC who has been romancing both and that's what I thought Nyx was building to and maybe she is. I think she feels like she hasn't given players an early "out" for the Layla and Erynn paths, especially because IMO it's quite easy to fall into their romantic paths. Check Layla out a few times? Boom you're on her path. Be slightly too friendly or flirty with Erynn, boom you're on her path.

The Coup De Grace

1. Zach, bound and gagged, strapped to the front hood of his Zach Attack car.
2. Aim the car towards a breakaway brick wall with Ethan taped to the brick wall, right next to a ravine. A pound of plastic explosive is taped to Ethan's balls.
3. Douse the car and Zach with gasoline.
4. Turn the car on, put a brick on the car gas, set the car and Zach on fire.
5. Let the car burn a while as Zach screams in agony.
6. Send the car zooming towards Ethan and the brick wall.
7. Play a mini game to the detonate the plastic explosive at the exact moment the burning car and a burning Zach slam into Ethan before crashing into the ravine.

There's no way I'm seeing that spoiler. After valbitterb sent Zach's ass, I don't trust you guys

He's a one note villain, not very deep or interesting, doesn't feel scary or threatening either.

I feel like this plot is not the strongest point of the game(relationship stuff is the strongest point), it has been dragging on too long(my opinion is shaped by the passage of years), and it holds back the things i actually want to play.

Erynn will not come out of her shell fully while Ethan is still hanging around, this is why he needs to go asap.
And because Erynn doesn't come out of her shell, a whole set of girl vs girl confrontations gets pushed back because we are waiting to deal with Ethan.
Girl vs Girl confrontations is the special something that keeps me coming back to this game despite it's flaws, reboots... not the shitty police blackmail storyline.

So yeah, i'm happy Nyx promised he's going down soon, it already feels like i've waited too damn much.
Specially over a one note bad villain.

This would give her something to do outside her route.
It would be a nice bonus for a character that basically disappears if you stop dating her.

She has given a few outs with Erynn, but for whatever reason none with Layla(as it relates to Erynn).

In a ideal world we would have both these options, and a major confrontation to look forward to.

The Lucas storyline should be resolved in a single update. (Lucas is like one TV episode.)

- Lucas kidnaps Layla
- Elena, MC, Lexi and Freaking Zo hunt him down
- They find him and Layla at the track camp venue where they did truth or dare.
- Elena and Freaking Zo take care of Lucas while the MC and Lexi get Layla to safety.
