Can't be Melissa because she didn't know Andres before the scene at the park.
This would mean Santiago got both Ximena and Gabi, my dad is my hero

I'm not questioning how long Emily and Santi were together, only why he would be relieved that her and Andres "finally" broke up, despite Emily and Andres only being together for as long as it took for them to meet, date and then Emily discover she was pregnant.
She was with Andres a couple months max and Santi's comment makes it seem he was pining over her for much longer.
Then again, I'm still not 100% that Santi is MC dad. Emily was shown to be very promiscuous in her college days and if she was willing to lie to her son for 18 years about who his father is, what's to stop her lying about it to Santi?

I don't think that we would have had all of the "He's not your dad!" admission from Emily, about Andres unless she (and Nyx) was certain that Santi is the MC's biological father.
It also wouldn't make much sense now story wise, for it to be revealed that Andres is the MC's biological father after all and Emily just got her dates wrong. What an anti-climax that would be

I'm just saying, Emily seemed to bounce around a bit in college, first Santi, then Andres, then fooled around with Mel. She was a party girl, it's not that farfetched that there were more. Seems like being single was lava with the hopping around she was doing.

I believe that Lexi and Layla's father is freaking Zo (Enzo Moreno?) the MC's basketball hero and Santi is his friend and agent. There have been multiple clues that Lexi's dad is rich and famous and I think that he is the most likely suspect.
Don't fall for the Nyx "gotcha" at the end of the last episode. The MC and Lexi are NOT related.

An agent of a high profile athlete would be rich and famous.
Lexi's dad skips out on dinner with the family multiple times for work, something that I can't picture a former athlete doing, especially one who retired to spend time with family, but a sports agent buried in paperwork, I could.
I'm just wondering if party girl Emily had an intimate encounter with the star basketball player and that's why whenever everyone says MC looks like someone, nobody ever says Santi because they are shushed.

Well there's agent rich and famous and basketball star rich and famous, which is quite different IMO. Show me some pictures and ask me which one is LeBron, I could do it and I don't even follow basketball. Now ask me to point out LeBron's agent? I wouldn't have a clue and the same for most people.
Why I say this is when the MC, Erynn and Lexi are talking about having someone older "hire" Erynn to get close to Ethan. Lexi mentions how her dad would help, as he loves Erynn and Erynn says how "He's too famous" and Ethan would know him.
I think the main reason why Lexi's dad doesn't turn up to dinner was that Nyx wasn't ready to play that card yet.
If he did turn up at the restaurant and if I am right about his identity the MC would instantly recognise him and realise that he's Lexi and Layla's dad. If you are right and Santi is their father then we would see a reaction from Emily.
Either way that card would be played and no cliffhanger opportunity and no "shocked pikachu" MC moment, when he finally sees who Adrianna's husband and Lexi and Layla's father is.

It wasn't just the restaurant he skipped. When MC is at they're house after helping Layla with her Spanish test, their father is home, but skips dinner to do paperwork, those aren't the actions of a former athlete who retired to spend time with family.
I get not wanting to reveal him that early, but I don't think Zo is Lexi's father. Santi lives with them, tells Lexi he'll kill her boyfriend after he accidently groped Adri and I can't remember if he's named when the father offers Adri a third child (rerunning Lexi path atm, will check back)

I really love this story. Today I spent 5 more hours on it at least.. This time I found a great soft piano melody mp3 song I'd saved from another game I gotten here awhile ago..but can't remember which one it was. The song's about 2 minutes long, I set the player at a low volume for background music and had it continually repeat.Thought it added a real immersive quality I enjoyed while reading the story. I wanted to share it here and hope that's alright to do. I usually check for updates weekly, if moderators feel it should be removed before then it's they're choice or I'll remove it if it's necessary when returning. Have a good day and night everyone.

That's the thing, I don't believe that's Santi. He is staying with them at the moment and I think that is who Lexi and Layla are picking up from the airport, earlier in the last update. We only ever see the back of the dad's head.
Like I've said before, Lexi get's interrupted before she can finish at the end of the last update when the MC asks her about Santi, "he's my dad..." this will likely be my dad's friend or agent or both.
But anyway we shall see, Nyx has said that it will be cleared up straight away in the next update. Fingers crossed that we get it before Christmas!
