Ain't gonna lie. The scene with Emily and John in the latest episode gotta left a bad taste.

Like it was ok till we have a pretty mom and logical reasonable mc to not go after her but letting john tap that.....I understand that I should not have selected that option but curiosity got the better of me.

And the way she described it she is a damn tease. Nyx is evil.

To each their own i guess, for me the scene was actually pretty hot. Is MC's mom supposed to be a nun and never date anyone again? But again, it is your choice to either encourage her to date John in the first place in the earlier episode, a choice which you apparently took so why complain about it now when it actually came to fruition? Besides, you can still skip the scene if you don't want to see it. Same with when you can see Hailey and the coach Mike banging. It is a choice game and the choices matter so better to think about what you are choosing instead of just speed clicking willy-nilly and then later complaining when something didn't go to your liking.

But remember, its always wise to save at every choice so you can reload if the result is not to your liking.

I agree, a harem game, where there's no downsides to picking every girl gets boring, sure there's some fun to be had with crazy orgies... but it's too much of a silly fantasy.
The Intertwined style feels more real, more relatable and allows you to live in this world.
Your choices affect the story in meaningful ways, i love seeing how characters react to our choices, including/specially the bad ones.

Indeed, plus most harem centric games don't really have the need for replayability since you can pursue every girl at once. They are usually one and done for me. With games like Intertwined however, i always find myself playing multiple times and making different choices each time and i get much more hours out of them. But i guess some people just like to rush these games just to see the sex scenes and move on to the next and don't really get attached to the story much, which IMO is a shame because a bunch of these games have great stories to tell

no idea why you quoted a post of mine from a year ago seems like a strange way to complain.

Only because you mentioned the harem tag after I came back looking for it. It struck a funny bone in me.

I honestly disagree with most of this. As it's your choice as the player and the MC does reflect your choices to a degree. I never had to choose between Layla or Alexis for example because it was my choice to not play both paths , the game does the force you.

Good point. This is my first play through and I had been playing it as it was a possible harem story. So that was my mindset when I wrote the post. Once I get to the end of this story, I'll play through again with different choices, knowing now that it isn't a harem-oriented game, and see how differently it plays.

As far your complaint about Cara that is entirely reflected in your choices why the MC is a "dick". When you go back for the wedding you can make choices to peruse Cara or Nikki more or keep them at a distance with your choices and then is a moment right before you leave which makes gives her them a signal that the MC wants a relationship. Because if you do not go with said choice they don't hey that impression from the MC so they don't visit him. So the MC being a dick to one of them because he has another girlfriend when they come for a visit is 100% entirely reflected on your choices as the player not because of the game.

Ok, so if you keep them at a distance from the start despite their attempts at flirting, then neither Cara or Nikki will return to MC's home later on? Interesting. I'll have to check that path out.
And I mentioned being a dick to Cara right as she comes to MC's house because for this first play through, MC received a call from Alexis shortly after she arrives, and the decision tree was to either stay and ignore Alexis, or leave and ignore Cara. To me, the choice was a dick move either way.

Actually, no, it was that the choice was made for me. It was a pop up dialogue that said I had to choose. Knowing now that this isn't a harem-type game, that now makes some sense.

And, part of the fun of some harem type games is the ability to have it all come to ruin from your choices. So there is still some replay ability in the "gotta win them all" types of harem games too.
I can see this game now, is giving you some choices to see what direction you'll push the MC in to (getting caught might be one of them, I don't know, haven't got that far in to the story yet), but others were made for me.

Cara's wholesome but bland. I like anal but I'm not about to drop any other LI over it.

Just caught up with my main route, and those last few updates are really good. Alot of progress for a couple of storyline. At this point (well, since the beginning, since it's the whole goal to the game), it's pretty clear that each character will have a connexion with at least someone else during the game. With Brooke being Zane sister (I guess I was behind, it was probably 1 or 2 updates ago?), there's still a lot of remaining named characters that need to be paired:

Ethan, Valeria, Elena, Tori, Darryl, the teacher that the girls find attractive, the other dude that work for Emily, the henchman with Ethan that has a name (only one of them has one IIRC), Sienna and her boyfriend, the man who gave you the modeling gig (probably Ethan's dad? It would be dumb if Erynn didn't say anything but you never know), Dylan, the new barmaid... I'm probably missing some?

Also, I know it's a game you kinda need to turn your brain off because some moments are willingly stupid just for the sake of not revealing a twist right away (and I really don't mind it), but

Nope. I was formulating a response to this in my head, but as I continued scrolling, the words just jumped out at me. jadepaladin got it spot on for me here:

She is nice, but just doesn't have anything special going for her (and anal doesn't suddenly give her anything special). I also find it slightly weird how different she and Nikki look. For me, Nikki definitely won that lottery. I would never look at the two of them and think they were sisters. Then you have (presumably) Erynn and Iris, with different fathers who almost look like they could be twins...

Back to Cara though, for me, she is getting better, although she's still easily at the bottom of the list. The anal has nothing to do with the getting better though, maybe it's just getting to know her a bit more (and the changed hairstyle). She still just feels a bit too young though, which the looks don't help with. Of all the LIs in the game, Cara is the only one who I feel comes across as potentially underage, as opposed to some of them being young but not given me the underage concern in the slightest. If you told me Cara was 16, I wouldn't question you at all.

A lot of the relationships trigger based on the number of points in the LIs path and most have some have *critical* moments that you'll want to do. If you don't want to enter a specific relationship, don't excessively flirt or choose more romantic choices, such as kissing. It's pretty easy, just balance flirtier options with neutral options. That'll let you selectively choose/avoid relationships.... if you want some assistance try the Walkthrough PDF, or if you are comfortable with the risks of modding Scrappy's mod on the OP that has built-in guides for choices.

And yes, some combinations of relationships already have some pretty heated/fiery moments.

I will say I did not expect to like Cara more from her anal scene I don't even know why I do. Cause it really isn't about the sex last thing I care about. Maybe because while she is rather boring character that doesn't have much going for her beyond being sweet and cute. The scene felt like she is stepping out of that shell and could start to act in a way that isn't boring and safe all the time . Not sure can't quite put my finger onto the why. But either way It did make me like her more but not enough to go up in ranks.

Yeah harem games are tailored for you to get everything in one go, and often the choices you get are only to skip certain scenes or certain girls, with no greater impact on the narrative, the opposite to this one.
Here i find myself replaying even for small dialogue differences, seeing how each character reacts to certain situations.
Small nuances are really well made here, i can go through many times probing for these small differences.

It's great to see how a girl reacts once she sees/know you are dating one of their close friends/family... it drastically affects their attitude, even if they are still enamored.
It feels real.

Emily, John, Erynn... don't know that they live in the Intertwined universe where there are no such things as coincidences .

The teacher, Mr Donovan, is 99% Zane himself, so Erynn's ex and Brooke's brother.
He's also surf buddies with the bartender from Dylan's bar, that also works as a mechanic with John.

My favorite for Val's mom is still Ximena Vergara the famous actress, who is also good friends with Gabi the teacher(who used to be married to the MCs biological father), and is a client of Melissa.
Ximena also knows the step father of the MC, Andres, for yet unexplained reasons...
No idea on who her dad is, other than he likes to surf... friends with Zane and Mechabartender, maybe?

Other characters like Tori, Darryl, Sienna might be too small to bother connecting with anyone in ways that matter...
I have a theory that Tori used to be friends with Elena until a certain age(she knows her real name, Victoria), but that's it.

No idea if Ethan will get more connected to anyone, but i can see him being something like a cousin to the MC or at least his dad being friends with the Monroe family, this is all speculation however.

I'm less than enthusiastic about having to cheat on or break up with a girl just to open another one's path, even if it is a blonde pixie-cut Quinn.

What about helping Erryn? Is that required or optional?
