He is a bad antagonist, that plot was slow and meandering...
I rather Nyx tries again with a rival that isn't cartoonishly evil and actually feels like he can outsmart you.
Zane could be that, girls are actually into him and he seems pretty smooth.
Less police stuff and more relationship drama, that's more on Nyx wheelhouse anyway.
Ethan is a villain just for Erynn anyways, other girls might now who he is, but very limited in terms of actual interactions and effect.

most likely mod related, your val date variable got fucked. Issue is not present in unmodded games. You can look it up with URM if it's there or not. Probably not. You may be able to add with URM too. Or install the WT mod and see if it fixes the problem. Also could be a save issue (?) depending when you played last.

unless someone else is willing to share and you're willing to take the risk. But next update will break your saves again, so it's probably better to wait anyway and replay when that drops in a couple months.

Thanks. I tried making two copies and installing each with a different mod yet got the same result. I guess that this gives me the excuse to play from the beginning once again. See you guys in a week I guess.
You probably have an issue with your persistent file then, as Elduriel said you might have to check with URM to see if some variable got messed up in one of your saves.Thanks. Try removing the persistent file from both the roaming folder and the game folder, then boot up the saves and see if they work.
It definitely is mod related, I pretty much had the same error with Valeria and Layla as well; deleted all my saves and started again with no issues anymore on those sections. I will stick to the pdf walkthrough instead of the mod from now on, lol.

Part of why I say that, is since its been revealed Ethan's last name, is Bloomberg, I am curious to know if that was done purposely.
The Bloomberg name denotes one of money and privilege.(If you don't know why, look up Mike Bloomberg)
As such, powerful families are used to getting their way, one way or another.
We still don't know one way or the other of what Ethan's father does or does not know. As such we have no way to determine if he will help cover up everything or throw Ethan to the wolves.
I think with the cutting short of the blackmail material we could be losing other characters that we weren't introduced to yet, who may have impacted how the story unfolds.
That's really my concern - good stories take time and setup. I like good lewd scenes and the sexual content as much as anyone else here, but what separates the good games from great ones (or VN's in this case) is the story.
I just hope the impatience of other fans to have resolutions doesn't impact the narrative of the story.

Totally agree about Tori being the GOAT! Picking her for the relay was the easiest choice of the VN for me

Personally, I think Nyx was leaning into the 'childhood bully' there with Ethan being the antagonist.
As someone who was bullied when he was younger (god I wish someone would try now as things have changed) it definitely leaves an impression throughout the years.
I'm not sure I agree with 'cartoonish' though I definitely see what you mean.
Rather, as it was revealed his last name is Bloomberg, I'm taking it all to mean he comes from family/privilege/money and has people who are hanger-ons/bootlickers who will do whatever he tells them, to further their own goals and it in turn, props Ethan up.
Ethan is an A%%hole, hands down. And they usually are not smart, but definitely used to getting their way. That's part of what I think will lead to his downfall.
Remind me; Zane is the surfer dude always at the beach who was supposed to do the photoshoot with Erynn, right?
I think if anything, hes more of 'another' choice for the ladies affections/interest.
Personally, I think its late in the game to add that kind of layering, but as I have said before, this is Nyx story to tell. I'm just trying to enjoy the ride for as long as I can!
And I definitely agree, Ethan really only affects those on the Erynn path, so in that regard, I'm ok with less of him as I am not a big Erynn fan. She just seems way too needy for making poor life choices all around and is holding the MC up as her white knight to save her from bad choices.

YES, i forgot to bring this up and it hasn't been talked about enough. They did that in Hillside in the later episodes because people complained that the scenes were too short, I just started spamming the space bar with Lucy's scene, same with Melissa's. I liked them how they were. It felt awkward and idk just weird.
