No she hasn't mentioned anything yet, i think she should, but nothing yet... just like a lot of other things in this game they stay hidden until it's (in)convenient, then they cause an explosion.

MC throws the letter in a fireplace.

Erynn comes in two weeks later, finds burnt pieces of it, manages to put it back together, and then gives up and goes to Ethan.

EDIT: Has Nyx said that the death(s) are gonna come from the main cast? Thinking about it, it could just be something like Ethan dying. Or one of his totally-not-hookers. Maybe, fraying at the edges and cracked out, Ethan overdoses. Bunch of ways it could play out, really.

Also, I was thinking even if it is gonna come from the main cast, it might not even be related to any of the drama. Like, Nyx plays into our expectations, and everyone comes out safe from the Ethan drama. But then BAM! the episode ends with someone being hit by a drunk driver or something. Or a heart attack. Shit, I could see Andres dying from a heart attack and having some emotional last words with MC. Some "mundane" deaths.

I find it hard to believe she'll kill a main girl this early, it's just not good business...
If we were right at the end i could see something like that for shock value... but midpoint?
