Ending here would have topped the vitriol and violent reactions of the NotErynnDead in the alley fake out from the end of Ep.8.

The Pro Erynn and Anti Erynn back on forth would have been vicious.

But since we figured out Nyx's cliff hanger tells, she was correct to end with the more ambiguous Melissa one.

I would've expected it to be bait too, but just look at the reaction of people when the update didn't yet leak and we were posting screens of the scene :ROFLMAO: Some were quite... upset.

It may have been the plan for a while, Erynn looking for her father was established quite early... and Emily was available from day 1.
Even in the flashback with Melissa, Emily says something like "he sounds hot, i think i would fuck him".
And in their very first interaction they flirted.

Much is made of the MC being like Santiago in various aspects, including manwhoring...
But Emily has quite a track record herself.

yes way, I didn't pull that out of my ass, Nyx said it somewhere that the game will end before summer holidays. And we're past spring break. With 1 or 2 in-game days per update we're looking at still 10+ updates or so. Plenty of time to close all plot lines and getting into new ones if there are no time-skips planned. So far there weren't any.
