In the last month in these parts of Europe we have had a heat wave that is causing temperatures to reach unusual levels.
Nyx also mentioned her CPU was running at 90 C... that's not quite enough to damage on its own, but I sure wouldn't want to keep it there for long periods of time, and I definitely wouldn't want to tax the chip any more. Once you get up past 95-100 you're in trouble.

Depends on the CPU. AMD CPUs do not withstand as much as Intel CPUs. AMD CPUs go into thermal throttling from 95°C and shuts the system down at 105°C. Intel goes into thermal throttling from 105°C and turns off at 112°C. As far as I know, she has an Intel Core i9-12900K. It also uses water cooling. Now I just don't know whether she uses AiO water cooling or a custom system. Either way, it might be enough to increase the circulation of the pump and the fan speed of the radiators. But all in all, it's not my place to tell how anyone should use their system. Nyx has to feel comfortable with the system and if she feels bad about the temperatures, that's okay. Having had a system burn down two years ago, I can understand her concerns.
