There's only one main LI. Her name changes depending on which save I'm playing, but there's always only one (with artistic license for the LI named "Laylena", on that particular save).

It's the same bullshit with Erynn and Nikki/Cara, where Erynn just seems to forget or not care if the MC straight up tells her that they are back together. Which has always been weird to me and honestly reflects badly on Erynn's character IMO, as well as the MC's obviously.

On the ASP she doesn't care that MC is with Layla, she's still pushing Lexi into making a move on him.

With that in mind it makes sense that she has no problem attempting to steal MC off Nikki/Cara for herself.

But it's weird that she never says anything, just say "what about Nikki, i thought you were with her?", "You are going to Alvarado meet Nathan... not Nikki in Riverside right?"
And give the player a couple of choices, lie, pull the plug on Erynn, pull the plug on Nikki.

Same thing for Erynn-Layla, have some kind of questions asked... and give the player options, pull the plug on Erynn, on Layla, or risk it all because you love to watch the fireworks

Val seems almost certain to be a main LI, but wonder if nyx slightly regrets confirming the others earlier. It's pretty sure that nothing really bad is going to happen to any of the official LIs, they'll almost certainly all end up fine. Removes a bit of danger for them. The side girls are less protected though, bad stuff could happen like Rachel as a really extreme example. Better for keeping us guessing!

I think that's the case, i bet she wishes she could take back the list.
By saying "these girls are LIs" Nyx has assured us that their routes will have a happy ending, which kills the tension.

Feels like that choice showed up a bit too early . On one hand it’s cool ‘cause you’re forced to make a decision right away, but on the other hand MC meets Layla and Eryn again in like a few minutes. So how are you supposed to decide who you wanna be with if you don’t even know them yet? Might’ve caused a few problems we didn’t really notice.

I agree. It just seems jarring to be cutting of LI's so early. If the goal of the VN is make the player make decisions, and suffer the consequences of those decisions, I'd think it would make sense to give the player more information to make an informed decision. It's not like meeting Erynn was a random encounter with a stranger, and we'll never have another chance to meet here again.

Nothing is certain yet. It was a possible solution that Nyx had to solve the issue of the fact that so far you can date Layla and Erynn without consequences. Though I heard that it was in the game originally and then it was changed so that it didn't cut off either path.
Personally I'm still hoping that she will go with a drama filled confrontation, either when Erynn sees the MC and Layla kissing at school or at the BBQ if she also attends. After all such things are what Intertwined is all about and what it does best right?

I'm a little less excited that this was a seriously considered solution by the dev, to the point of them publicly discussing it. They already resolved the Erynn\Lexi situation with exactly the solution you provide an example of here. Why make a ham-fisted change to the early game when you can write a future scene that will solve this if the player chooses to ignore the obvious warnings and do it anyway? Hopefully it never sees the light of day. Also, how do you implement this change without breaking every save after this point, if you make the change retroactively? Just seems like the worst solution to the problem the dev is trying to solve, which you could argue really isn't a problem in the first place, but an opportunity.

Nyx may or may not change the Layla / Erynn choice at the club, but either way the next update will include script changes and will break current saves. If she's going to make the change then this is the time I guess! Not clear what exactly the changes will be or if they'll make much difference to the game. Probably mostly hidden tweaks to set things up better for future plot.

That small phone call scene I was working on and wanted to finish before I start the work on the last 2 big scenes of the first day turned into 5 scenes. Those are all scenes to bring all the different routes to the same point in the story. So while working on that 1 scene, I figured, wait, I need a scene for that too. And if I have a scene for that, I need a scene for this also and so on... But I'm done with those. Now I can finally start with one of those 2 big scenes, and I'll leave the Valeria date for last, I think. I'm not gonna say what the other scene is about, but I'm looking forward to finally working on it (That scene had been written 2.5 years ago, so it has been on my to-do list for a long time. But I had to wait until the story was further along. Even now, I still had to create room for it, especially because of the moving around scenes for the blackmail plot to fasten. That's why I needed 8 days in a week instead of 7.) And at the same time, I'm dreading working on it because of the choices that will change stuff, and I'll have to create multiple renders for the same scene.
Those 2 scenes are relationship-specific. So if you are not on any of those paths, MC has nothing to do the rest of the day. So I have a question for you. As of now, minor spoiler warning, I've sent him to the movies, and that will end the day. But would you rather have a "neutral" scene, which you will get if you aren't on one of those 2 paths and where you get a choice to continue or just go home? For example, you meet someone at the movies. Of course, it can't be just anyone. Most LI have a certain scene where you will meet them again, so I can't put those there. But there are a few characters who also have nothing going on for that time slot. For example, Tori, Darryl, Zach, and some background characters,... So, I'll leave it to you if you want an extra scene there, or just leave it as it is. Keep in mind that if you want an extra scene, that will also take time to create, because nothing has been written for that scene.
I haven't continued working on the re-coding of the episodes besides the first 3 episodes because I just didn't have the time for it. When I work on it, I want to do a whole episode in one go, and if I don't have the time to do so, I'd rather wait and move it to the back instead of halting the progress for Episode 15.

Difficult choice between adding a random scene or not, extra development time always sounds bad... and sometimes it's ok that the guy simply goes home and does nothing else.

If it's running into Brooke, Ximena or Gigi by coincidence and spending some "quality time" with them, i'd be tempted to say yes.

Maybe Erynn if she's received your letter, not sure if nyx had the letter thing planned that long? If it's in MCs bedroom there would probably have to be different versions of the renders with and without the poster on the wall depending on if you did the modelling? Maybe some other differences as well... Have to wait and see.

Would probably prefer not if it's just filler for the sake of it. Nothing wrong with him not doing anything. Although the random quiet events with side characters are sometimes a nice break in the drama, like the chat with Darryl in the last episode.

I agree with what you wrote, it's weird that Erynn spent the last 5 years hoping to see this guy, but one "wrong" move(that isn't even wrong, he's just helping his friends) brutally changes how she feels.

The reason why it could be written out isn't because it makes the story better in any way, it's because it makes the devs life easier since Nyx doesn't seem to have good plans on how to handle Erynn vs Layla...
So, it doesn't enhance the story, it makes it easier for her to write the next chapters.


It's bad from a players perspective, Nyx already knows who Erynn is, the MC has a contentious relationship with her... but at that spot the people who have to make this decision(us), don't.

Even if i prefer Erynn(despite not knowing her), leaving Layla and a pass out drunk Elena alone with an untrustworthy idiot(and Nyx makes sure to tell us, before and after this decision how much of an untrustworthy idiot he is) sounds like a bad decision.
A decision you might wanna make not because you are Layla over Erynn, but because the girls need you right now.
Of course, somehow this is the only Zach doesn't do anything stupid(other than fondling the drunk girl ass) and things turn out alright... but that's hindsight speaking.



Nyx apparently thinks that things staying quiet for so long is wrong in this specific case because of... Alexis.
This was the reason i think, Alexis is close to both Layla and Erynn... so she would say something... and interfere somehow.

Personally, i believe that's overthinking, it's unclear what Alexis knows about Erynn-MC, Alexis has never been present at any moments between MC-Erynn.
Erynn seems like the type of person to keep things like that pretty close to her chest, Erynn denies anything to Emily and Melissa, even when both of them 100% know it's a bold faced lie.
Iris also doesn't seem to know anything... she stops for Alexis, but keeps going if you are dating Erynn, which tells me she doesn't know.
So why would Alexis undoubtedly, 100%, know everything? I have no idea... but Nyx thinks she should interfere.

Not to mention this is quite possibly a touchy subject between Erynn and Alexis, if you dated Alexis in the early game... with the fight they had a while ago still fresh on their mind, Erynn would have way more reasons not to share anything about this relationship.

And if Nyx is convinced that Alexis would interfere, then by all means, add a scene where Alexis puts the MC against the wall and tells him she suspects he's "double dealing", but you don't have to kill everything as a "fix".


Yes, the best, most emotional, moments of Intertwined are often these scenes, i hope we get one for Layla-Erynn

Erynn doesn't know what to do when first meeting the guy after 5 years, she wants to be friends again, a relationship might interfere with that... it takes a looooong time for her to come around and start giving in to her feelings.

Still feels unreasonable that this small rejection, would completely change how she feels about him.
I can even conceive a universe where to combine Erynn and Layla you must chose Layla in that scene, Layla has more right to feel disappointed, maybe this guy isn't what she thinks she is... leaving her for another girl when she's in a dangerous situation.
Maybe selecting Erynn means Layla doesn't call him the next day about the beach derailing her path...

But Erynn shouldn't be this much affected, i mean she comes to the house to hang out with him the next day, regardless if you stayed or not... It sounds like she understood your choice, but somehow it's over?
It doesn't make sense.

I already made my case that Alexis not knowing much isn't unreasonable, specially if they fought over the guy.

It's not about Valeria given that she has a simultaneous event, we know that much.

It can be nice, but you can also put that in other places if it's gonna slow down things a bit too much.
We know from previews that the episode is already gonna have going on a bike ride with John for example.
Give us something that is gonna gets us excited, make it worth the extra time, otherwise... just send him home and save the time.

I agree with 3J1E that the other scene must be Erynn related, possibly letter or no letter related. What else could it be? If she had planned to write this 2.5 years ago, it has to be Erynn related. (And Melissa related if you banged Melissa for real.)

- It has to be more Erynn related. That statement is a giveaway. None of the other paths get majorly affected by the blackmail path apart from Erynn's. (Val only gets affected if she came to your aid. Lexi and Melissa are the only other ladies who know about the blackmail.)

The Riverside sisters are not in Madison Springs yet. Lexi and Layla have nothing going on since the barbecue was cancelled. Elena has been put on the backburner to finish the blackmail plot.

Gigi - might be since she doesn't have any path conflicts
Tori - a movie fan? Well, she definitely needs more nuances other than being the way she is.
Sha'Carri - is set for the relay meet

Zach - highly unlikely, we'll be seeing him next time when Val gets involved or at the height of the blackmail plot finishing
