I don't mind the points system in theory, it's not perfect but I like that it takes into account gradual choices over time and allows a few mistakes. Completely agree that the way it's implemented is frustrating in places though. I guess you could maybe argue that it's realistic in the sense that people aren't always consistent and sometimes respond differently at different times, but doesn't change it being annoying to play.

The Erynn shower scene is probably the worst example of it since you can only make one or two wrong choices to get it combined with Erynn having a couple of choices that really aren't obvious without a walkthrough...
I also don't like it because 90% of choices are meaningless. I don't want a kinetic VN, but the look here and look there shit is so outdated at this point.

I don't think it's at her... more like the general situation.
It could be at what she's relating to him, or it could be at a decision she made...
Such as inviting Zach along to the party.

I was wondering that. My thoughts are that either she is finally telling the MC what happened with Ethan, or is telling him that they may have a third coming on the date.
These are the 2 strongest possibilities... because i can't think of a 3rd one :ROFLMAO:.

Him being angry because of the Ethan event tracks(not much angry at her, maybe for not telling... but mainly at Ethan).
And if she's telling him that Zach will be coming along with them it also leads to some justifiable anger(and this time she's not imune).

She looks calm and yet engulfed in thought btw
She knew what she's saying would lead to some anger from him.

the choice and points system is garbage honestly. I never liked the type of AVNs where you had to min-max shit like that to be able to get a scene or whatever like here. Look at ass, don't look at it, you don't know what it does without mods... may increase or decrease points. It's inconsistent and depends on the mood of the dev. Reminds me of the early days of AVNs, and that's not a good thing. Also Nyx writes this game hypocritical as shit, one moment you lose points when you look at a girl, the next they ogle you like there's no tomorrow. Come the fuck on.
Honestly... I don't see any other way to do it in those pure VNs (or even sandboxes/point n' click) without becoming kinetic or the choices becoming meaningless... Of course, there are many ways to do it, good or bad... I don't mind them here... What I don't like is the presupposition of choices based on variables. Like... "Oh... He said something back then, so he wants to kiss/fuck her." Like, this game makes me want to play the romantic guy, but, even if it was some kinda Casanova game where you just fuck around, I would indulge myself, but I'd think it's a design mistake nevertheless... Like it happened in Miranda scene. She's gorgeous and I was, like, "oh, God... What do I do..." But the game made the decision for me, so I just sat back and relaxed :p

I get the annoyance of it but the way Nyx has done it is true to life, if a girl likes you and you check out her ass she'll like the attention and like you more, but if a girl dislikes you and you check out your ass then she'll think you're a creep and dislike you more. To quote HIMYM it's the .
Yeah... I get that... But it's like I what I wrote above: this should control the girl's AI (in the broadest sense, not AI in the contemporary sense, but her mind, behaviors, and so on) but not the player's choices. I know the existence of "free will" has been a serious philosophical/scientific debate since the dawn of time, but those games here presuppose it. If it were a game playing with this theme, I'd get it, but I don't think it's the case.

Yeah the Laylena path is great, our teased but not 100% confirmed throuple path. Valeria won't step on her new friend Layla's toes, to get on her path you need to not be on Layla's path and get maximum points with her at training camp. You'll know if you've done it right with Val if she comes to your room. I would recommend trying all of the paths at some point, but beware that the next update is going to fuck your saves. So you may want to hold off.
Yeah... I don't even know if I want the throuple to become a reality... I think it'll be an easy way out... I know I'm being kinda masochistic here, but what made the story great is just the dilemma of "what do I do? I love Layla and I don't want to hurt her feelings, but I love Elena too!" If it happens, it'll have to be at the end because, dramatic-wise speaking, there's nowhere to go from there. Like, in many games here, I wouldn't care and would enjoy the threesome, but this game stirred those feelings in me, and I guess that's what made it kinda unique for me.

I'll try Valeria's path. She's awesome too, but I think I'll wait since you said the next upgrade will break saves... I think I'll have to create a mod to delete Layla, though... I can't resist her... I'll certainly take Elena's path, but I don't think there's enough content right now to justify it — I've already unlocked all her scenes, even though I was somewhat loyal to Layla (couldn't resist the hot tub scene, though...)

P.S.: If anyone's curious why I haven't played all those paths yet, it's because I played this game this week only. My first run ever.

The great thing with Layla is that she actually makes a pretty great friend too. She will even want to help you out with Valeria, which is a nice touch. Makes the lack of an Elena solo path sting a bit more though because she would have been happy for her best friend, but oh well.

I'm just surprised that she would have that conversation about Ethan over the phone. If that is indeed what it's about.

well then you haven't played enough AVNs. You think choices here are meaningful? 90% aren't. You can absolutely make an AVN without any point systems. Play The Missing Part, it's in my sig. No points there. Not a kinetic VN either. Play Superhuman. No points there either, and you can be sure the choices have meaning. Points system is just trash and outdated, plain and simple.

I'm also not a fan of the points system in Intertwined. Some girls points requirements for their romantic path are too low, while others are too high IMO. You can stumble on to Layla or Erynn's romantic path quite easily, especially Layla. While Val's requires maximum points at the training camp, which is a little too harsh IMO.

Not necessarily though, especially if she still harbours some feelings for the MC. So helping to pair him with the new girl WOULD be a lot easier for her than trying to help pair him with her best friend. So it makes a little more sense IMO that that path doesn't exist much.
