I don't think I'd realised before that the script rewrite included v14, I assumed that she was just rewriting the script from earlier in the game to fix old issues. Interesting, it does open the door for her to mess with players a bit, I like the theory!

It's a wholesale script rewrite, up to and including 14.

One of the things she explicitly mentioned is gonna get changed is from 14, she's not happy with the requirements needed for the Iris scene to trigger.
The recent Iris scene will work a little different and have more variations the next time you see it.

Maybe more things will change in the later chapters, Melissa, more ways to break up with Monroes, same thing for the Riverside sisters...

I think Nyx has been pretty clear that if you're kind and loyal then you'd never see any of that material and everything would always be fine. But like you say, if you're unkind and cheat on girls then the consequences could get darker. I pretty much only play 'good' solo routes anyway so I guess it's not something that would affect me, but I don't mind the idea for those that want it. Maybe not the full evil corruption stuff with Ethan, but I like the idea of cheating having consequences in terms of girls moving on with other people.

One interesting scene that she's talked about is actually showing the Erynn blackmail video when Ethan shows you. We know it exists, it's in the past and isn't her doing anything wrong, but I'm guessing that would still cause a load of issues and isn't worth the hassle. Personally don't think we need to see it for it to work as a plot device, just including it as an added sexy scene would feel a bit creepy given the context...

Either way none of it will be in the main game, not worth the hassle!

It's possible that her original intentions were to punish players for smaller misteps, but ultimately she settled with a style that if you play "good boy" things will be alright.
As for cheaters, at this point i don't know how far we will be able to carry on cheating and get away with it... some combinations have clean and clear exit points, Valeria-Alexis is often held up as an example (including by me).
Others(in the current script) are a lot more nebulous.

And it remains to be seen how dark the consequences will be...
The girls who get cheated will "hate you forever" and cut ties, but i think they'll turn out OK.
Maybe Gabi loses her job once the relationship is found out.
Good thing the MC is the oldest guy in HS(Justaphase ) so she won't have to go to jail

Yeah, she decided against showing the tape... showing it would have some players "spanking it"(and others rioting) when it's definitely not what the scene is aiming for, i'm ok with this decision.

Another thing for the "dark version".

I'd be really surprised if Erynn staying with Ethan and getting corrupted is an option in the main game. It just feels like the overall tone is aimed at the soap opera thing with lots of drama and twists and emotions, but not going into anything properly dark like that.

You could maybe get some redemption if you didn't let Erynn explain her situation at all and pretty much blanked her so you aren't really aware of what's going on or how serious it was. Or do you always know about the blackmail, I can't remember? If you let Erynn explain her situation about the blackmail and then decide not to bother helping that feels pretty irredeemable!

This was one of her original plans... a Erynn corruption path.
But it looks like she changed her mind... the dark path now being relegated to a (possible) side story.
Right now things look pretty bleak if you ignore Erynn, she's still working for Ethan and he's even gloating about it to you.

Like i said maybe we'll see John+others solve the thing without our input, it will be a nice ending for her story, new family... and the MC will only be able to look at it from a distance after the shit decisions he made.

The options are:
Walk away, leave her in that alley, in which case you don't know much.
Rescue her in the alley, but don't offer further help, you know everything... but refused to get involved and help further.
Rescue her and offer help, you know everything and is helping her.

And yeah, maybe he doesn't deserve to be forgiven... but Erynn likes him so much, has such attachment to him, that maybe she will forgive him anyway.

I think Nyx has mentioned that she has a scene where Nikki goes off and has sex with another man in one of the beach huts if you've cheated on her. Don't think she mentioned Zane specifically, but it does seem like that would fit. I might have that a bit wrong though, it's been a while. Even if it does exist we're not seeing it for a long time, if ever though. It will have to stick to the fan-art thread for now!

Take these things with large amounts of salt, Nyx loves to tease these "players lose" scenarios.
Personally i think we will have nothing to complain about if a Nikki who gets cheated ends up with Zane, but i'm not sure it will happen.
Maybe this is just the right amount of punishment, not too dark, but still hits you in the gut.

Not Kaskaze though, he's too smart for that

I don't it will happen. Nyx did say in a discord Q & A if I recall correctly the original plans depending on your choice at least LI was gonna be able to cheat on a LI never said who it was tho. I dont think it would of been Nikki tho , as much as I love her I think maybe it would of been Erynn because of her running into Zane. There are a few other that come to mind as well.

She talks about a LI who cheats and about fake Erynn actually being Erynn, but can't see the bit about Nikki. I'm sure I read it somewhere, but it was a while ago and may have been somewhere else. It's all hypothetical though, it won't happen. It's either her messing with players or stuff that she won't put in the game.

What is your preference? There is a lady for many preferences. Just take your time, enjoy the game and make your decision.

There is absolutely no incest in this game though even though incest fanatics like Kaskaze try to force lewd scenes with the mc's mother Emily.

Yup, that's what i remember.

I think it was originally going to be Alexis, Iris or Erynn when the blackmail plot was much longer and there were separate subplots tying those characters into it. I guess when the blackmail plot got streamlined Alexis and Iris got sidelined and it wouldn't make sense for them to be fake Erynn any more. Who knows, it sounds like a lot has been shuffled around!

Progress Update - Episode 15

As mentioned last time. I've started working on one of the last two big scenes of the first day, and I love it, but hate it at the same time. Mainly because of the choices that influence the scene, which I have to keep in mind. I even removed a character from that scene because that would've made it even more ridiculous.
Normally, when I work on a scene, I create all renders until a certain point in the script where it's split due to choices/paths. Then I create the renders for the different choices/paths until they merge together again and continue from there. This time, I'm trying to create all the renders only for one path and once the whole path is finished, I go back and create the renders for the next choice/path. That way, I can see which renders I can reuse from the first path. In this case, though, as of right now, there are only around 5 renders I can reuse. I tried to play with camera angles on certain renders to make it easier to reuse, but alas... Basically, this means that I'll have to create this big scene two times at least, plus some possible extra renders here and there. I could be lazy and just switch out one character with another one and keep the whole script the same, but that would be boring, especially if you play multiple paths, and also it makes less sense due to the personalities of the characters. I'm 1/4 finished with that scene, but since I'll have to make it twice... It'll take some time.
I'm pretty sure the first day of this episode will be bigger than the whole of episode 14. But I really hope episode 15 won't be as big as 13, but it's getting close.

I've also started the recode of episode 4 this week, and while I'm doing that, it was the perfect moment to start with the rerendering of episode 4. I'm not sure yet if I'm only doing the flashback in Riverside or do the whole episode 4. It depends on how long I'll be working on episode 15, since I want to release it at the same time.

2 main versions, Alexis and Layla, and some extras... ASP, banged Lakeyin or not, have you dated Alexis early or not...
A character was cut, Erynn or Emily, those are the 2 i can think about.
Can easily justify saying they were invited but were too busy.

I don't even get why a BBQ is happening on a school day feels weird to me. Feels like it was rushed forward or something to me before it was cancelled. I hope she just moves it back to the weekend personally.

But it is what it is... this one is gonna take place on a tuesday, wether the MC is invited or not.

And with it being one of the things moved forward it does bring the question wether Santiago will connect to the blackmail case.

Why not? Nyx is obviously not from the US. It's totally normal in other countries to have BBQ on normal weekdays. In Germany they traditionally start the BBQ season on 01.01. right after midnight. It's called "Neujahrsangrillen". The season ends on 31.12. in the hour before midnight. They call it "Jahresausklang". What I want to say is, that you can have BBQ every day. You just need meat and beer.

If it's a big social BBQ then the weekend would make much more sense. But it does suggest that someone at the BBQ is important for moving the plot forward if it needs to happen now. Santi's most obvious, maybe an opportunity to talk to Adriana and get out of the suspension? Both of those feel like they shouldn't only happen on Alexis / Layla routes though...
