I don't think that would have this sort of ramifications -- why would it, when it happened while MC literally didn't yet meet Alexis and Layla, and it was seemingly a one-off with neither party trying to make it anything more than that?

That's true, but now after all this time, I think we'd both do it again... And let's not forget, this would be another Nyx drama on the list...

I feel like while she would love to have him back Iris is scared about the possibility of the MC having moved on, this terrifies the normally confident Iris.
Even confident people can get scared when they get the "feelings".
I think Iris staying celibate would cross into "extremely unbelievable".
It's not like she was expecting to ever meet the MC again...
Saying she had sex with some girl from college will be something that doesn't make things too unbelievable while being easier to swallow for most players.
I can understand her not getting laid since seeing the MC again, because she can't stop thinking about him and stopped calling her booty-call.
And it's not like the players remained "pure" since Iris(some crazy guy might who knows...).
Yes to both, as of now it's just an awkward coincidence...
But Nyx is sure to give us the rope for us to hang ourselves by trying something with Lakeyin

We already know how easy it is to create a brain-dead MC in this game... Layla is the cutest, but on the other hand:
Laylena are at their absolute best when they play off each other. I can't remember the last time a VN made me laugh this hard, and i'm on this train until my MC dies (or the girls inevitably kick him off it to just be together and make it actual Laylena)

2. You follow her path without questioning the reasons behind it (in my opinion, the dumbest option)
3. Or you go on a search for clues (the most difficult option)
Considering that Nyx originally had completely different plans for Alexis and what she made of them, I have to admit: "Hats off!"
You really have to play the solo route AND the ASP explicitly from Alexis's perspective to see behind the "Alexis" facade. If you then overlay both routes, you'll recognize two key events that
a) explain Alexis's behavior and
b) whose effects will likely linger until the end of this VN.

Yeah, i mean, when i was talking about MC getting removed (if you keep the three-way interactions ongoing) i wasn't really kidding -- i think while it'd be a rather unexpected resolution, "you wanted both so you get neither" is the kind of sadism that's right up the dev's alley, and it wouldn't exactly come out of the blue, with Elena harboring some clear attraction for Layla and Layla basically reciprocating as things develop.
