I simply won't play an Elena path if it means breaking Layla's heart in the process. The only Elena path I will play is if anything more comes of the Layla + Elena potential threesome or even throuple path.

I tried it for a bit but this situation is straight from Being A Dik and I couldn't do it that game either. It just feels wrong and something I would never do in real life.

Not really the same as Josy and Maya from BaD. They are already in a relationship before meeting the MC. Then there's the option to see if they can be a throuple, to give it a try.
In this situation you are dating/in a relationship with one girl while also flirting pretty heavily with her best friend. In the hopes of it turning into something more.

My post there was pretty much me being salty at there being no actual solo Elena path without hurting Layla. It didn't have to be this way, Elena is a main girl she should have been treated the same as every other main girl.

i havent had a chance to play the new update yet, can someone tell me if elena got a proper path that does not involve breaking layla's heart just before the big night?

I just went to the end of Episode 14 and saw only a few frames with Elena alone after the "Choice". I am disappointed because I wouldn't have done it that way in RL, I would have let Layla down easy, obfuscated, etc.

The whole setup that you can't be simply friends with Layla and Elena while flirting exclusively with the latter is pretty silly to begin with. Layla would get a hint sooner than later, and considering her personality i don't think she'd be trying to cockblock the MC out of spite. I mean, she certainly doesn't when MC friendzones her and goes for Val, quite the opposite.

Yep, I think she would have actually been happy for her best friend Elena. Just like she is if you are dating her sister Lexi and tell her. Layla is a sweetheart and clearly puts others before herself. She even says to the MC that she can speak to Val for him, to see if she's interested. This is why the whole Elena solo path drama has always felt a bit forced.

I agree. This is one of the reasons why Elena is off limits to me, unless Nyx changes things and makes a path that doesn't make me feel like shit pursuing her. Sure I have a save where the MC, Layla and Elena fool around together, but my main focus is always on Layla, although the MC still annoys me with the blocking out Layla's face on the picture of the three of them if your points are high with Elena.

I reached the "Choice" and the Elena only path was so bad and wrong, I reloaded my extra save so that I could continue with "Throuple" Layla path. Im not really interested in Layla after getting to know and like Elena but I just can't bust her up the way the Dev wants the Player to do it. Its too douche and ruthless after all of the great times we have had with her and Elena.

Dev needs to add a non-douche, easy way to let Layla down to "Friend Zone" her and start seeing Elena. In real life you could do it on DL (Down Low) with Elena or you could continue to show more and more interest in Elena without totally hurting and freezing Layla out and Layla would eventually take the hint and not be destroyed by it but happy for Elena (Kind of)

For me it would be truly heartbreaking if Layla and Elena's friendship were to be destroyed over the MC. My best case scenario would be both of them telling the MC to get fucked and walking away hand in hand. But since Elena is a confirmed LI and the only way to get close to only her is to get close to Layla and then ultimately hurt her, I can't see that happening. I would imagine it will just be Layla putting on a brave face pretending she is ok with it, while dying inside.

Breaking / Destroying Layla and Elena childhood friendship is the reason I won't break Layla's heart because I would never do that in real life because I KNOW how destructive that would be and I try to play things as close to my moral compass (with a bit cheatin' as possible (Don't sleep wives or Best Friends of Girls, etc.)

Yes and it didn't need to be nearly as complicated. I've mentioned Valeria before but look at the situation with Layla when you are purely friends with her and pursuing Val. Layla pretty much offers to be your wingman and help you with her, there's no jealousy or bad feelings involved. Early on players should have had the option to switch their attention to Elena if they wanted and let Layla know early on who you were into.
I enjoy some drama in AVN's but when it starts to make me feel like shit, I'm not interested. There's enough in life and in the world to make me feel shit, I don't need it in a game that I'm supposed to be playing for fun.
This is one of the main reasons why I usually prefer to do pure runs where I focus on one girl only and just have multiple saves. This may be boring for some, but it's what I enjoy.

You are So Right! I wish I could have switched off to Elena early on. The only reason I didn't switch to Valeria (Which was tempting early on) was because I wanted Elena but nothing opened up for Elena alone.

In being a dik, I did the Throuple path and then I did the Man-Whore path and I did Isabella Path and I did the Sage (without Jade) path all on separate saves to avoid the crazy drama if I hadn't you do.

To be fair, breaking layla's heart works well with Elena's sacrificial character. If the choice is left to her she'd defer to Layla. So it makes sense that the only way he can get with Elena is to break Layla's heart
