alright. so it was both.
being broken due to missing tags and also needing new save because you don't initiate new variables on load.
missing tags meant it didn't work even if you started a new save.
now with 0.3.0.2 it works for new save but not old save.
hopefully this happens starting with next version.
its very tiresome to have to restart the game every time.
btw. midori route can softlock if you have more than 90 children with her because one of her steps is "have more than 40 and less than 90 children". would be great if the "less than 90" part was removed.
You shouldn't be making a .rar in whatever way you're doing because many non-windows systems will use tools that won't open .rar files properly if they're made in whatever way you've made at least the last 2, it's kind of a dying boomer format and a regular .zip, .7z, almost any other format will work more easily for more people
i played 3.0.1 yesterday and started a new save for it. do i need *another* new save for 3.0.2 ??
Yeah; I'm learning a lot; when our last Dev vanished, it has fallen on me to do the programming side (though thanks to Terminal Wetness for pitching in as well); so I had no idea that was a thing and none of the devs we had did that thing. I'll have to google it; I dunno if it will be in the next update, but I'll try.
I think the journal may say that, but mechanically it may already be fixed; but I don't recall when. It did used to be like that; I'll add it to the list of things to fix.
I believe all of those are dependent on you completing Kim's first half of quests to visit different locations, then she tells you about Izumi and you can meet her in the faculty offices. Aika at the library happens if you advance your tech to level 2 but don't capture Aika at the dorms. The car wash event only triggers after you complete chapter 1 by advancing to tech level 2; same with Natalie.
Also possible something is broken.

Can you shoot over a game save? We can extract the variables and see what state the story is in; something may have broken over the last several updates or you may have found a unique path that somehow breaks things. Either way; we'd appreciate seeing your game state.
I finished the game. Here are some suggestions.
1- If you are going to make me grind, make the game optimal to grind. Add a "quick breed" button for each character in the cave and for the three girls from the household. Also you may improve the shops because when I want to buy something, like Biomatter in the hardware store, i have to scroll down to buy again, making it super tedious since you need a lot of it. Perhaps adding the option to buy more than only 50 each time will improve it.
2-Consider adding a "easy mode" that lowers the price of the upgrades or makes it easier to gather resources. After all this is a porn game.
3-Add the breeding event of the three households girls, where they get pregnant by your thralls, for the girls in the cave too.
4-Maybe add Kelsi Monroe, great actress that also got pregnant at some point of her career.

Agreed; our menus in the stores and in the tech screens all needs a rework of design and have for some time. We tried text boxes at one point to enter an amount, but this proved problematic; we'll work something out.
If you're not aware, there is a cheat mode you can activate by starting a game with the character name "cheater". It's technically the dev menu, but it can remove all the grind.
This has long been the plan; it's just been on the back burner, but absolutely, this will be added eventually.
Added her to our list for main characters; you may notice we have some empty folders with character names. The characters are planned, scenes are written, but we haven't selected a person for them as they come into the story later and there's a lot of things wrong with what we have to fix.

How do you breed Kim, Dani, Maya and Yuna at the cave? All the options appeared in white instead of blue and didn't let me choose them.
It's not in yet; when the content for the start of Chapter 3 comes in, those sections will be available. They're written, I think most are actually in, but they're not linked as we need some key story parts to happen first.

I'm not sure when exactly, but soon now that we have fixed a bunch of things we needed to get resolved that had been in our debt pile a while. The next content update with story will have the start of Chapter 3, which Izumi gave you the first clue to; a researcher in another city who can unlock more of your abilities. The path to get to her, get her to do the research, and unlock the tools you need to get through Chapter 3 will be (hopefully) a bit more complex than they were to unlock Chapter 2.

I know this is a bit of a broad suggestion, and it would help if I specified more, but I would like to see more monster content. I'm into teratophilia and I'm always looking out for some good monster content. So, I'd kindly just ask for more of that sorta thing; the vanilla human on human stuff's not really for me, especially in this game where you play as an alien monster.
