Funny you should say this, it got a new update today.
Update adds a new enemy, the zombie worm, and a map extension.
The zombie worm doesn't have a parasitism scene yet, but it drops its parasites on death. I don't know if they can infest the player character yet, but they're the same ones the shopkeeper can get.
EDIT: Update actually came out yesterday but I missed it then, and also missed this entire page. Whoops. However I do want to mention that the zombie worm does have a swallowing scene implemented.

I wonder if it would be better to wait for the next update instead, it's likely going to have the zombie worm's parasitism scene. The creator said he's going to try his best to get an update out by the end of the month.

OP is probably waiting for the next update (hopefully next week or the week after), which I believe adds the full parasitism scene.
I know the patreons have exclusive access to the new scenes before the update, but they're probably a hassle to upload.
An update was just released, adds the zombie worm's parasitism scene (without cut ins or closeups) and the ability for the player character to get parasites. Parasites can be removed by dying or with medicine (I think)

Maybe it's taking a bit because they wanna get the english translation for the scene? Or, that may be out already and I'm just dumb.
