don't think it does anything for now maybe in chapter 2Does anyone know what this choice reflects on the game?
I'm asking because I want to know if the game has an easy mode, I'm not much found of playing a porn game for its gameplay and I choose Commoner, so I guessing this is why the battles are dragging even on the tutorial (fighting the imps).

I kinda dropped the game when I needed to make Rapunzel drunk, I don't how much time I spent on this but for a game called Iris Quest, I was hoping for something more like Iris Quest: The Goblins' Curse.don't think it does anything for now maybe in chapter 2
Nope, the first demo (Goblins' Curse) from 2-3 years ago had much more to offer than the first chapter. You don't even play as Iris on the literally Iris quest chapter 1.Is there enough in this game to actually download?
If you've waited this long, you might as well wait until they fold all the previously released demos into the main game.Is there enough in this game to actually download?
Disagree. The Goblin curse had one boring game mechanics. The fact that we had to endure the gameplay over and over again for the sake of multiple endings made the game worse, not better. In the first Chapter, we have a few pictures, a small amount of well-written text, and a good mini-game. It's still not much, but it's more than the Goblin Curse gave you.Nope, the first demo (Goblins' Curse) from 2-3 years ago had much more to offer than the first chapter. My memory can betray me but I remember actually having a game to play and not some pity minigames that have no need to be there at all. There was a roguelike dungeon design and there was even secrets behind the environment that could lead you to stuff like scissors that "unlocked" new outfits (or more like destroy the only one but in a sexy way DD)Disagree. I think you've got the Goblin Curse and the last year's demo mixed up in your memory. The inability to save progress is the only thing that was roguelike in the Curse. In General, it was a game of Ludo, but more boring and with one of the seven pictures at the end. The Rapunzel mini-game, unlike the Goblin Curse, didn't make me dislocate my jaw due to boredom. In this we have some exposition, it's nice to see some of the princess trainer story (but we already saw that), some fighting at the start with the overwatch chick that doesn't matter, than minigame to see rapunzel clothes ripped (filler). A battle with the Old Man and Iris's father that is skippable and another minigame about getting Rapunzel drunk that is pure right and error that I did not even bother to find out if there is actually a CG if you do it correctly. For what is worth, very little of Iris itself and too much filler for a "first chapter" release.
I see, I really wanted to see more in this chapter than what was shown. Especially with all the wait but it somehow worst than Akabur. Don't get me wrong, I love that lazy Russian but even when he fails he still delivers, Iris Quest is full of potential, soul and lovely art, but it's been nearly 3 years I think and we have nothing than "prototypes" showing "what could be".I think you've got the Goblin Curse and the last year's demo mixed up in your memory. To be honest, I do not like the combat system in the Iris Quest, so the option to skip the fight is a plus for me. There are secrets in the First Chapter. Including a picture of Jafar, the funniest thing in the game.
I want to speak in defense of mini games. The game about the chase may well be used again. Now the game has two possible modifiers for the chosen path: lowering health and getting a bonus. It doesn't make sense to choose a path where both modifiers are present. This mechanics can be developed. For example, Aladdin runs through the Treasury from the lava flow. You can choose paths with treasures, then Aladdin gets money, but the lava catches up faster. Or you're chasing a thief in the market. You can take a shortcut: you need to pass a piece of the game with increased speed perfectly. As a reward, you will catch up with the thief before he throws the loot to his accomplices. If you make a mistake, you fail the mini-game.I see, I really wanted to see more in this chapter than what was shown. Especially with all the wait but it somehow worst than Akabur. Even Magic Shop from Akabur has more content but the problem itself is not the real lack of content is the amount of effort put into filler that will probably be used once like the Rapunzel running/drinking minigame, hell in the start of the game that demon asks you about your class (poor or rich) and it is fully detailed illustrations for each option that has yet to show a point. They can't have a scope like this, it will take forever, there must be compromises. I have no doubt about the amount the work they put on this first chapter was enough to make a "witch trainer" but was it worth it? I bet it took weeks or a month just to make that Rapunzel running minigame right and it takes less than 5 minutes to finish it, it's too much.
Yes, they could definitely re-use the minigames and I would be 100% ok with that. At least it wouldn't go to waste all their work for just one scene. I don't know what is their goal, but if the combat is the main gameplay, minigames are extras and the game focus on the story (and lewds). They got something very valuable here, now they just need to keep their scope down and don't add illustrations to every little dialog.I want to speak in defense of mini games. The same can be said about drinking. You can, for example, have a conversation with two girls at once who like and dislike different things. Getting the ending of each of them is easy. Getting an mff is difficult.
At the same time, I fully agree with you in the main part of the claims. They don't know how to prioritize at all. So I don't expect the game to ever come out completely. I only argued that the Goblin Сurse wasn't better than the First Chapter.
