Um.. I know I shouldn't delve too much into the story, as any sense of logic is out of the way for this story. But the story has set some rules/lore's; Like in recent times Ayumu/island only mind controls the males not the females. So the females are pretty much OK without any supernatural influence, sure they are constantly gaslighted/misguided but no supernatural influence.
But I think these things contradicts itself in the story:

• in the Hot Spring it seems Mary actually surmises that Ayumu is evil and plotting against them but just to have a proper sex with Ayumu she joins hand with him & plots to direct MC so he will accept it.
• in the final interview she forgets about Ayumu being evil or somehow controlling them but still remember their plotting together, as it seems Ayumu said to her before that he can control what MC will tell (she says 'He said exactly what you said he would')
• I'm not sure about other times but I played again from the Hot Spring & it seems she never tells MC I love you once, even after just before she enters for sex MC says I love you and she says Thank You (WTF). Why I went to check it is because in the final scene for this update it seems she can't say I love you to MC anymore so instead she opted to say "I like you a lot". Is it because of supernatural influence or she just don't wants to.
• During the sex with Ayumu she tells she don't enjoy sex with MC & with him it's the 1st time she feels fulfilled (it seems even before Ayumu's blessing her pussy was like a football field, with his blessing now the moon can hide there) & then it she talks like a proper GF but instantly goes into slut mode with the cockzilla and after recovering with Essence she is too into Ayumu & don't care about MC or anything. Then in the final couch scene before questioning it seems she cares & while getting questioned it seems she didn't care.

I mean throughout the game her character is the most inconsistent & the lore also changes quite a lot. I didn't played the original in last few years, is she same in there? Do I need to play the original to understand this story & characters better. Or it's same all over there too, no logic or story.

I'm a great fan of supernatural erotica specially supernatural fmc corruption erotica so I had some hope for it but even as a kinetic novel it feels off. It feels like Mary just wants an excuse to end things with the MC. Can't say much about MC as he's been cursed & mind controlled. But Can't seem to like Mary much, Hanako is presented as naive girl but ultimately she also becomes like Mary without BF baggage so she is now more cruel, Natsuki & Yoshi was interesting but the way Yoshi is handled is cheap & at this point if there is no supernatural control over Natsuki then her dismissive attitude even before consuming essence feels out of character.

I don’t know what really changes between the earlier bad ending and the final one we will get other than bad ending had all 3 attendants while the final one will have only Ayumu.
