Well, first of all, there are as many truths as there are opinions. Because all elves are fiction and there are no facts to support anyone's opinion. We should not forget and ignore the fact that there is more than one source that talks about elves, and if you refer to one and ignore all the others, then this is simply hypocrisy. And secondly, you contradict yourself, the drow have a self-designation and you named it yourself, so if you call an elf with dark skin a dark elf, this will in no way be an omission. And if you specify by skin color, then the drow will be completely black elves, not dark. Not that I was going to argue about this, it's just that your statement is some kind of nonsense.I can't get past the overlapping use of "brown elven girlfriend" and the term "dark elf."
It is long established, and rather universal, that the term "dark elf" does NOT simply mean tanned/brown/melanin rich skin.
A "dark elf" is a drow, and they do not, and cannot, have brown skin.
Their skin is black--not "black person" black, but BLACK black, like vantablack, like "it absorbs all light entirely" black,
because they are made of shadow, and darkness, and evil.
Sometimes, some blue or purple shading is thrown in to hyperbolically represent how dark black they are. This comes from visual art (and especially comics) where blue/purple is used to clarify that something is uncommonly dark black (usually hair).
In modern times, the reason we persist with this tradition is to make it clear that "dark elves" are NOT just "elves with dark skin," because "dark elves" are traditionally evil, and suggesting that an elf with "human black" skin (i.e. brown) is inherently evil would be considered highly racist.
For the love of god I beg you, DO NOT conflate "brown elves" with "dark elves." The world does not need that shit right now.
Bro, it's fiction. If someone want to make orcs as a representation of stereotyped tech savvy Asian people, they can make it with no problem at all (besides people like you, and people way worse than you complaining).I can't get past the overlapping use of "brown elven girlfriend" and the term "dark elf."

Bro... You are quite old... And outdated...That would be low-key fantastic. I see Bulma, I recognize it's some iteration of Dragon Ball. But I haven't bothered to keep up with anime since Toonami was running episodes of Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop.
I don't know. My country still has some things about it, which some times end up pretty questionable because of things like "100% white + 100% black = 0% white, 100% black", and some worse, like me being afraid of trying for the "black only" things and ending up facing way too much competition because everyone thought the same thing and the "free for all" part ended up being an easier way to get in (therefore, the real problem here is that it is all simply too confusing). Is DEI still a thing in these days?!?
Just checking...
..surprisingly.....i still see tiktok edits of her....and deedlit..I know that for everyone as they get older they think, "Kids these days don't know what we had when I was a kid..."
This is one of those things. How many younger anime fans these days know of Lodoss War?
..i like watchin old shit......sometimes....You're dating yourself with that one bud lol.
One, I already know.Bro... You are quite old... And outdated...
Well... Learning more about the art I like actually made me enjoy even more the simpler and even the shittier things. Knowing more about cinema, for example, made me also dive in Birdemic and Sharknado, instead of making me stop enjoying blockbusters. Maybe it's to laugh at the defects (the case of the worse ones), maybe it's for enjoying the humble things, but I learnt to like the fact that life isn't only about gourmet food (personally, I think that nothing beats a street burger with a natural juice). Two, going to school for animation really kills being able to enjoy sub-par animation (which was damn near everything not Disney or Studio Ghibli circa the early aughts).

But to each their own...
Those both have stood the test of time. The new one will be forgotten in a decade, while people will still recommend Lodoss War and Bastard!! as examples of great stories for decades to come...surprisingly.....i still see tiktok edits of her....and deedlit..
..and lots of ai hentai of them too recently.....
...and lodoss had a game last year....was kinda nice....
..i like watchin old shit......sometimes....
..to see if the boomers had it better.....
Yeah, it is easy. I just didn't realize anyone would want that since this is kinetic so it doesn't have choices. It's not written to work well as a self-insert story.well - despite the way of storytelling, and also besides the story itself (like for example to philosophize about elven culture right alongside fucking her), it's a bit annoying that there are still new games who can't even use cusomizable main character names. It's really not difficult to code. Being called "Garrett" the whole time really prevents from any immersion (at least for me).
Good luck with your game, but inmho there's a lot which should be changed. Maybe i'll be back sometimes later to see whether there's a change worth to continue.
..aight 1 sec...and ill update thread....Yeah, it is easy. I just didn't realize anyone would want that since this is kinetic so it doesn't have choices. It's not written to work well as a self-insert story.
The Itch.io page downloads have been updated with customizable names. I know you wrote this off, but if you want this, then I'm sure there are others who feel the same but haven't bothered to tell me, so I appreciate the comment.
...The title alone should have been enough of a tell. Really, its not that serious.Do we have a tag for that?
What do we call it?
'Meme'
'Shitpost'
'Unserious'
weird. I have the opposite problem. If the MC has my name and does a bunch of stuff I'd never do in a million years, there's no way I can continue that game. That or LIs that have the names of close relatives (I'm lucky that they're uncommon). Because I had to input something with many games, I've taken to naming MCs Sam, because I always liked Samwise, though this does frequently get odd when there's a Samantha in the game as well, where I just go with the basic John or whatever random common name comes to mind. At least the name isn't Garret.well - despite the way of storytelling, and also besides the story itself (like for example to philosophize about elven culture right alongside fucking her), it's a bit annoying that there are still new games who can't even use cusomizable main character names.
