My first leaked release! It almost like an accomplishment...
Unfortunately (more for me than you guys), it coincidentally happened with a release that I wasn't planning on making public until it got a few tweaks/additions.
So... what's changing/getting added?
I wasn't satisfied with the ending scene. I originally scripted it as a full "all cards on the table" reveal but it was feeling a little like an exposition dump so I cut it down to the more cliffhangery version. I think I overshot a little. My intention, before the public release, is to have it end in a way that will clear up a lot of the questions/confusion about the current sequence. The cold truth of things is that even though I release (kind of) frequently and I have not designed the game in an 'episodic' format that is kind of that standard by which each release is being judged. I don't want to worry about hitting specific story beats before getting out new content for you guys but it is what it is and if I'm worried that a release is going to end up getting the game negative comments/reviews because it leaves things unanswered then I'm going to hold back releasing it.

A couple more sim scenes are coming.
Anyways, as I said earlier, I'm getting back into the swing of things and I'm resuming work. And, while I didn't intend for this version to be released, I hope you enjoyed it all the same.

Good advice here...Yeh, in every choice given, I was looking for the "Who cares, none of this is real" option (which is only afforded intermittently).
(Edit: Around the time of the last release, the dev did say that it would be another one or two releases taking place in the sims, so it's not like this is a surprise.)
But on a separate note, it is perhaps worth noting that this is (I believe) the preliminary build of v. 0.5 that went out to supporters a while back, and the public build, likely to see some adjustments, is still to come, so it's probably worth hanging on to a save from the end of the previous version.
I appreciate that, thank you. But, there's no need to worry about me! Everything is good on my end, development isn't 100% back on track yet but I've set back up and I'm getting back into my grind. The latest update made me think about the developer's problems. I hope he feels better.![]()
