Yeah I thought about that. Even the scenes at corporate. I felt some of those were sims.

It's kind of hard to say that we have some skin in the game by now, everything happens at Qal's whim and the MC realistically has literal zero sway in what she decides to do other than try to convince her which.. yeah, hasn't worked yet and MC has been stuck in sims for again god knows how long.

Definitely something that's difficult to resolve without the players feeling offput or 'cheated' in a way.

Oy mate, I hope you are doing alright. I am crossing my fingers that your situation with your relative will be okay soon and that you will come back here to goof around again.

Cheers to you my friend!

Thx for sharing. Was that his post from 20th of June?

Nice to hear about progress. Still sad he has to make cuts to the project. But it is what it is.

Looking forward to the weirdness anyways.

I guess I never gave you guys much of an update about my situation, or progress on the game. My bad.

Short version - life situation is fine, there's nothing to worry about. Nobody is in critical condition or anything, they're healing, and their biggest issue right now is being stubborn.

Longer version -

I've got everything built out and almost all of it rendered (I think...). I thought I had everything built out and rendered last week but as I was going through everything I decided that one of the scene's needed some tweaks to help things 'fit' a little better. I think it's 'there' now so I just need to do a couple more sanity checks, unfuck my spaghetti code, and put a ribbon on this thing.

I appreciate you guys checking in on me. Here are some preview renders as thanks!

What happened? Has an elderly relative of Digidec fallen?

I've seen this many times. The other day, I was just talking to a friend about how a silly fall or a simple slip can break a bone if you're older, whereas when you're a child, you just get up quickly.

It was back toward the end of March, right around when I got the 0.5 release out to my subscribers. It was the (primary) reason I had such a slow start toward getting the public release ready.

Having a remote work job can be a bit like owning a pickup truck, you become the guy to call when shit needs doing.

She's doing fine. She's not fully mobile yet, but everything is healing. I've more or less settled in and found my rhythm again, I'm still adjusting a little to my new workflow, but like I said before, at this point the delay has more to do with me taking my sweet time than anything else.
