Does this ver has any gif in pictures? I remember the old versions from HF was like 7+GB, mostly because of the girls H-scenes was in video format, still in my Laptop now. Im quite surprised that this ver only 2.2 G.
Some of the pictures are .gif, but have the .png extension, so you will only see the animation by opening them in-game or with .gif readers. One exemple is hj_general_young_2.
Animated gif in general don't allow much editing, they are taken from bad sources (hand drawn uncensored animated hentai is scarce), they look compressed and yet take so much space!
If animations are to make a triumphant return, we'll go for webm or mp4.
Btw, I quite prefer the old vatican ver song
I really don't ^^ Let me tell you my reasoning a bit.
Powerairmax was apparently the one that came up with the soundtrack to begin with, for the HF version. We needed to replace the soundtrack (previous one had volume all over the place and we couldn't find their names with Shazam or equivalents), so I did it co-jointly with him. So even by the standards of the guy that came up with it, the replacement was worthy.
Now, even if we could have found the source, this one needed to go:
1) There is electric guitar. I wanted the orchestration of the soundtrack to fit the kind of instruments that you are likely to find in Eternal Rome.
2) The mood is too triumphant. The song needs to be sacred, but ambivalent. The vatican is not a morally good entity.
Near the end of the song it almost feels like you are in the jungle, it totally doesn't fit the mood ^^
3) It's an overused chord progression in pop-music. You can literally make a song with it

. Jack-o-nine-tails evokes to me something more "refined", less easy of access. Its gameplay is too difficult and complex that most of its audience are nerds that enjoyed Dark Souls and are likely to be regional champions of their respective hobbies
4) The replacement music is from Tchaikovsky, which was Russian, same as the developer. I was guessing he would have been likely to associate sacred music with some from his birthplace that he must have heard all of his childhood (though tbh he didn't seem to put much care into soundtrack, as there were only 4 songs in 1.21 and when you listen to "muz_podonya" your ears die from how shitty the recording is)
I checked in folder and the new song is in wav format, while old song was mp3, can I just replace the file without changing the format?
In theory yes, you'd just have to rename the extension from .mp3 to .wav.
However mp3 = reduced audio quality.
I advise to search for a .flac source. And then check the level of loudness so it roughly matches other tracks (average level is -24 LUFS, but you can just check the db in Audacity and lower the gain accordingly)
Also I had been searching/asking but noone know the song name since f95 old thread, so Imma ask again here, If anyone know the name/full song, pls kindly tell me, thank you very much
I really tried to help you. I remember finding a magical software, a year ago, that managed me to finally find the name of the previous "home" music (which became v2.2.x credit music).
But impossible to find it again. Tried MusicBrain without success, tried Shazam also... That is exactly why we needed to get rid of the soundtrack if we wanted to edit the files to change the volume without altering quality.
