The game just got updated so obviously the wiki would be out of date (assuming it was even up to date in the first place), but most things in the game that the wiki says to raise temperament doesnt work (tried everything but fights and racing so maybe those may work but fuck me if those are the only ways now) and after one oral rape as punishment since I had done literally every other punishment type available to me that day it dropped 2 whole ranks the next morning. Unless it dropped from some new modifiers thats just...ridiculous. Then with Nature I'm losing more than -5 a day due to depression since they must be repeatedly punished and end the day depressed because every single last slave I've bought while trying out the new update for more than 4 hours, without fail, will never do anything until they reach the point of (or were bought with) "Sanity" and by that point its a downward spiral since event wins are the only thing that work for Temperament or doing the same with Nature since they never do well enough to warrant the Hot Spring or higher rewards so they would get spoiled instead so even if Nature DID go up high enough to start regaining sanity it would just go back to them not listening because spoiled and continue the cycle indefinitely.
There is a lot here... And I admit I can't justify everything, I don't know if what you are experiencing is a bug, an oversight from your part as a player, or from our part as developers.
ImperatorAugustusTertius was the one to do the tweaks regarding nature and other attributes, and he always had rational justification and a great knowledge of the game's mechanics. If he comes back, I'm sure he'll answer you with pleasure, and most of the time he'd pick up something obvious we haven't considered.
I hadn't played for years but it seems like the game is only meant to be played in a single way now and its just not a way that I can find or would probably even want to be restricted to if its this far out of the way. During these tests I went to easy and put all of the players skills at max, buy them uncomfortable and comfy clothes, try with and without strict rules, try to spoil and to not, a house in the slums and a patrician in the lap of luxury, and explain their positions every single day for up to 3 days and every single time its the same. Whether theyre prideful or timid, temperamental or not, stupid or not it just doesnt matter."-your words have fell on fertile ground." My fucking ass, I've yet to get a single slave to answer a single question without requiring punishment afterwards much less do any sort of training before becoming mind broken. Am I missing a giant neon sign somewhere?
1) Raise obedience first before asking questions, especially the questions at the bottom (it gets more personal with each question). It makes sense that the slave acts like a stubborn shy child, just imagine her having been kidnapped and sold ^^ Ask the women around you in real life, if they were slaves, what it would take to make them answer these specific questions without insulting their new owners.
2) If your words have fell on fertile ground, it means you are raising fear, or awareness, or taming (or smth). These participate in raising obedience in general. If the slave's obedience is not at least "-10", they'll surely not do anything. You can see when your slave accepted her fate by casting Auspex and checking her aura; your goal is to create "buds of obedience". Buds of obedience used to be the first step to getting obeyed at all when giving any lessons (like music). Now, we've made certain lessons (like music) accepted when the slaves was disobedient, because well, for exemple I wouldn't refuse free piano lessons, slave or not.

Of course, after I rant, the first slave I get actually answered a question without needing to be tortured into answering how they felt. But I saved thisone from the Fog instead of yet again trying the market to test so maybe that has something to do with it, idk.
Congrats ^^ It means you have enough authority over the slave to be somewhat obedient on day 1.
It also sounds like the game's now a lot harder. I remember it originally being pretty unforgiving with training the girls since their stats were so sensitive to change for the worse and they could just end up getting mind broken. Seeing "Apathetic" was the bane of my slave training career.
It is just different. Some (broken) strategies that used to work now don't and shouldn't be expected to (it was possible to get 2 devotions before the end of day 1...). It's also more difficult to make your slave do fiend milking or coprophagia unless she's really scared or really devoted (preferably both).
On the other side, it's easier to get obeyed from the get go. Before, nothing was accepted but fitness lessons, and so the goal was to spam fitness and gifts until reaching open buds of obedience. Now it's possible for a slave to hate cardio but love cooking. Even petplaying was made a lot more easier to reach compared to before where a slave would accept to lick your ass but not get on all fours.
So, when it's more difficult, it's not for the sake of difficulty, but for the sake of balance and realism.
