And just so people do not take my comment the wrong way. (Some people can be mad sensitive) Consistently making content at a specific quality level is hard. I know for me sometimes i go 6 months or so before I release something...but I don't have a bunch of subscribers expecting shit from me. The other side is that the aspects of the content we moan and groan about is probably stuff that the people who consume it can give 2 shits about. People will get their nut..and then move on to the next thing to complain about.
Thus the rub....
Jackerman is probably doing all this additional stuff, all these details to level up the content he is trying to produce. And in many ways "Perfect" has probably become the enemy of "Good" causing these insane delays. This is almost where that saying comes into play as, "Sometimes you need to kill your darlings." That said, I guarantee you...when it comes out, the significant population of people will not even recognize nor care about those details or those little darlings. And what if...just what if the response that he gets from the community is not what he is expecting...what does that do? I mean. I have heard of so many artist just burn out just because people did not appreciate all those details they put into the work.
But....this is porn....so what do people expect. I think people need to prepare their minds for MW3 to come out and dude disappears indefinitely to repair his ego from the level of "...this is what took so long?" he gets from people.

at that point the table will be turned and the work of those devs will be regarded as mediocre compared to AI porn.

Well AI porn is trash. Nothing more I can say about that.
I'm afraid that, by the time of 2030:
- programmers and 3D artists will be reduced to 'production managers' that will write down what they want to make. Unfortunately the way I see it is that Ai will take away fun part of the job and make us do mundane tasks like i.e. writing documentation. Well it will be probably another neural net that will take audio input from creators and under the hood do all the work so automation will be at that level also.
As of now You NEED to know 3D / programming etc. to use "Ai". In such cases it can be useful tool. But currently You need to know how to create code / art in the first place and than guide "Ai". How long this will last I wonder.
Pursuing "high" quality is trap IMHO. I do enjoy SFM works even thought with Blender one can create, even in the "preview" viewport, higher quality output. But incorporating that SFM output with current "Ai" models can increase "quality". Will it require more work, definitely yes, but results could be of a high quality with the effort.
Bottom line that I want to write down is that there is "Ai slop" and "Ai assisted output". These two are not the same. One require none other tremendous amount of work. The question is "is it worth"?

Well the issue with AI...is that all looks exactly the same. So for people who like the AI look. Great but for me not so much. I will say it is getting better...I use AI mainly for BRoll...and it works well in small little 5-10 clips in a video that is almost 1 hour long and I mainly use Image to Video for that, but when it becomes the center point of the video I would say it is odd. Mainly because what we have grown to love about the content created on the different platforms are those small little characteristics about those platforms...where you know it is not trying to be some ultrarealistic thing. Any this is probably way off topic so I will leave it at that.

That's right, Jackerman bans anyone who criticizes him, even for simple things like stickers or GIFs... If he thinks you're trying to criticize him, he'll ban you instantly. Basically, his Discord server is made up of blind fans who accept everything Jackerman does and even applaud him, and members who are against Jackerman's absurdities, but who unfortunately are forced to remain silent or they'll be banned. This way, Jackerman controls his Discord server as much as possible to avoid hurting his ego with the truth.
