You want honest trailers? What about hard knock honest critique, huh?
Oh, but I did finish the game. Tried all the paths and no, the damn gallery would not unlock the scenes I saw during the different choices and the many game plays.
About the Erik assholle - Spoiler about the hard knock life shoved down our throats:
That guy the three amigoes in the truck from the beginning talk about as being their friend, the sisters of that asshole talk about MC as being a great friend of theirs,
then we find out he is actually a dirt bag bullying MC and emasculating him in front of the floozy:
that scene is fkked up, because it shows MC is impotent scrawny victimized cannon fodder even to his so called friends, what or how would someone his supposed friends beat up on the regular,
because MC acts as tho the Erik asshole has been doing that shit to him for years, how is he supposed
to win any girl over?
MC is the most decent guy the sisters of a bully disgusting pig know in their lives.
This is a very simple but apt explanation why MC is even afforded their attention:
he is a nice guy between the muscle guy who keeps telling girls how he would hit this or that
and the bully brother who keeps scaring literally everyone away.
The baseball bat to the face is horribly dessuading to anyone with a modicum of common sense.
Anyone looking to be a scrawny nobody watching assholes get girls, sure, be my guest,
this game would be no better than a Sandra Brown novel, but reading a novel, the least you do is dream your personal dream girl and you can actually get the POV of someone geting laid, as opposed to being the supposed MC in a game where girls tell you off - too fast she says, but getting to know girls suddenly becomes dangerously emasculating. There is no choice to avoid the emasculation. Do you seriously feel any guy would feel he had any game while getting a baseball bat to the face from a thug, in front of a girl who seemed to want to get to know him, but the thug then hugs that same girl?
The trouble is ... MC cannot get away from this predicament. The guy is the brother of the only two girls who, at this time, actually want to be with MC, spend time with him, not belittle or mock or laugh at him. This game brushes that whole debacle off like it was nothing, while it is a huge turn off.
I for one am not loking to get beaten up and mocked by a bully in a game where I can,
supposedly, choose to be the actual protagonist, not just another looser being beat up by assholes.
There are good things about the story, the bad are the lack of choices for MC to actually get out on top,
because the game keeps going on while MC keeps being a push over and is seemingly accustomed to putting up with
that. Are we supposed to just eat up being randomly beat up by that bully because it is the only way to be with the girls
who actually feel invested in us? Is this what kind of story this is? Make it to third base before Erik kills you?
