Well, if I would look at the images in an art gallery etc. yeah, quality before quantity. In a porn VN, well, most here could jerk off on some stick figures if it's a hot situation

In a porn VN, I personally, don't spend too much time on single images and if there is finally the one I spend a bit longer I do not admire the perfect scenery, the rich details placed on a cupboard, the perfect lighting etc.. Hot protagonist, hot situation. Sadly, Stopers claim is not to deliver a porn VN but amazingly rendered images with sexual content which you can "play" like other ren'py games.So maybe people get this one day, JOHN is about stunning quality of every single image and not creating a porn VN with regular output of updates. His patreons are fine with it, otherwise he wouldn't have any. So be lucky to get from time to time a new update "for free" here and jerk off on some other stuff before the complains of horny pirates annoy me.

Yes JOHN has some great graphics, but I wouldn't call others shit graphics! The developers i mentioned are just as good as JOHN is. It's sad you couldn't see that.

I'm a fan of JOHN, just like you are. Doesn't mean we should crap on others work. They really do have some nice graphics, it's fine if it's not up to your taste.

who knows what will be the motivation for this delay now ... in the planning of every kind of work there is still an estimate of how long it takes, it is enough to simply communicate something. If I were him I wouldn't worry too much about inserting content, so now the games are made unless they decide to work on it again another month (which, in my opinion, is thinking considering that he was talking about inserting a second big alternative scene ).

Attention! Personal opinion!:
this pic reminds of how damn GOOD she could look without make up and maybe even without glasses. I think those things let her look older and her face “thinner/older”. + even she has a nice figure I personally would love to see her with a bit more curves and a bit bigger and more realistic looking boobs.
but her face itself, the hair and skin looks damn awesome.
and yes I think too that especially NLT and DeepSleep also have superior graphics similar to JOHN.

i think JOHN renders are way more detailed, animation and poses look alot better than deepsleep, the only thing i dont like about john renders is the lack of realistic facial expression.

I would say it's not the unrealistic expressions rather the unchanged faces or no transition between faces during conversation that sucks.

It would be better if stoper implemented some sort of progress tracker. On the 30th he stated that finishing the update will take no more than a week. Now we're more than a week later and not a peep from him. Most likely the update will be released soon, but its not a good look regardless.
