Try removing any mods. Happened to me in some other game because mods wasn't updated.

Try to change the renderer by launching the game with holding Shift + g keys.

Now it’s saying something like “Thsi computer is using software rendering” and the game still doesn’t start.
Is there something I have to download?

Try all the renderer available. If non of them work work you try to launch the game through RenPy SDK.

Ah ok thanks, I've actually already downloaded this just now, but after that I'm still stuck with the same error message, game still cannot run.
